We spent the night at the Holiday Inn on Old Mill Road in Danbury, Ct. Within a very short walk was the Panda House Restaurant. The atmosphere was wonderful, quiet, and the service superb. The food was some of the best Asian cuisine weâve ever eaten. The tab was very reasonable.

We were in the area for another reason and stopped in for dinner after reading all the positive reviews. Thoroughly enjoyed the experience! The carpaccio appetizer was beautifully presented and delicious. The mini soup dumplings were fun and tasty. The rolls were creative and the quality of the fish was very good (an important standard to us). We did think that the rice was too cold and the wrong consistency (not sticky enough). Also a turn off to us seeing an ungloved Sushi chef pressing rice into our rolls. Maybe gloves are not a common practice in CT??

A friend and I stopped in for lunch by chance and were pleasantly surprised by the cuisine which includes Chinese, Japanese and Thai food. We both had Bento boxes and the food was delicious. The shrimp was excellent and the Shumai was the best I had ever had. It was light and very flavorful. The cost of the lunch was very reasonable and the setting is very pleasant. I will be back for dinner.

The menu has a large variety to choose from. There is beef, chicken, seafood and vegetarian meals to choose. There are several parts to your meal and the chef puts on a show while cooking.Hello Mark! Thank you for acknowledging our wide variety on the menu. Hope to see you again soon.

On the basis of some the reviews, I was expecting something a lot more authentic, but unfortunately Thai Pepper has fallen into the common trap of thinking they have to make the food slightly bland for the local population, so the dishes we ordered were really not as flavorful as they would be in Bangkok. That's a shame because surely there are enough people in Connecticut who yearn for the authentic Thai experience?Don't misunderstand me - the food was perfectly adequate for a casual "comfort food" experience; the place appeared to be very clean and the service was polite and quick. I will certainly go back there, but with lowered expectations of the food. Some of the dishes are very generic and not Thai in origin - not that it really matters. But I would also like to have seen the menu have ALL the dishes feature the Thai names as well as the English translation names. They do it with some dishes (Tom Yum for example) but they don't do it for Tom Ka (Gai or Goong) calling it just coconut soup (which is really not an adequate way of describing it).Another thing that struck me as being very un-Thai was the size of some of the chunks of protein and the size of some of the vegetables. Carrots which had been partially carved were enormous big chunks. In Thailand, people eat with a spoon in the right hand and fork in the left. The spoon is the primary utensil; the fork is only used to manipulate food. One of the reasons that a knife isn't used is because the food is already meant to be cut into bite-sized pieces which are then picked up and eaten with the spoon. One of my favorite dishes anywhere in the world is the wonderful dessert, Mango Sticky Rice. Unfortunately the Thai Pepper version really doesn't do it justice. The mango was really good, but the sticky rice bit was an over-hard parcel. It looked and felt like it had been cooked much earlier. The sticky rice should be sticky - as its name implies - but not one solid lump, Also there was not enough coconut cream to finish it off. A big let down. But finishing on a positive note: As long as you aren't looking for the authentic Thai gastronomic experience, Thai Pepper is well worth a visit - I will return, but I hope the owners gain more confidence that the locals will love the authentic incredible flavorsome dishes that they will taste when they visit Thailand. Sure, do some bland stuff if you wish - maybe a separate menu section for the timid? :-)

We went to Ichiro for my daughters birthday after reading some good reviews. We were rather disappointed with selections of sushi and other dishes we ordered. Service was not very prompt either.I doubt we will go back there again.

As others have said the staff is friendly. Service is fast. And the food is good. Not the best Korean we have had but considering the options in the area :) it is a great place to visit. We will be back and try some other options on the menu. The only complaint I have is a $3 up charge for the brown rice is a little crazy but clearly it's a choice you can make or not.

Went for the first time on a Thursday evening and enjoyed our sushi. Nice atmosphere, servers were pleasant and accommodating, even willing to request a custom roll for us, which was delicious. My only complaints are that the rolls are relatively small for the price ($16-$18 per roll). The size reminded me more of grocery store sushi rolls in comparison to the larger, more lush and full rolls we have at Kumo and Yokohama in New Milford for example. The rolls felt a bit skimpy. Also, it kind of stuck in my craw that I was charged for a refill on my unsweetened ice tea, which I find to be quite unusual, for any restaurant.

Tonightâs visit was our first and certainly will not be our last. We are curious to try everything on their menu. Their âginger dumplingsâ with a perfect accompanying sauce, is a must! The Spring Rolls were superior. A very tasty âSticky Beefâ appetizer, tender beef on a stick, was 90% super, but, unfortunately about 10% tough gristle. Hopefully they can fix that. Tracy, our very friendly server, was very helpful. As to atmosphere, it could not be more basic. The noise level is high. The restaurant is BYO, which is a plus. (If you forgot to bring a bottle of wine with you, we noticed that there is a shop next door.)

Had a selection of tapas (small plates). Flamenquines (breaded pork filled with ham and Manchego cheese), Raxo (pork cubes with fried potatoes and sweet peppers), and a few others. Very satisfying. Good caipirinhas (Bazilian drink) rum, lime juice & sugar.Nice desserts too. Service was attentive and friendly.
