Probably the best asian restaurant in dakar, senegal. Differant variaty of asian food for people who want to taste differant kind of asian food as sushi, kimbab, bulgogi, porc barbecue and duck barbecue. Big garden and swimming pool open for all clients.
When my husband told me we are having authentic Korean food for lunch I thought oh Gosh not only have we just moved to Africa where am trying to adjust and adapt to but on top of it now have to worry about going to an Asian place in downtown where probably will end up with food poisoning... reaching the restaurant that is located in the heart of the town in plateau did not help easing my mind as it was hidden in a side street full of small shops and by the fruit market! To my surprise and as soon as the guard opened the gate of the restaurant and I stepped into a small garden that was more of a gateway into a zen world with small tables and lovely trees surrounding the place. The place is simple but still very charming, calm and perfect should you want a romantic lunch or dinner. Now the food was the biggest surprise that was as simple and authentic as it could get. Portions are quite generous and my husband and I could not finish the two dishes we ordered (not that we had not hardly tried!). A selection of Kimchi and cold dishes accompanies any order that is in itself appetising and somehow filling. The orders are quite fast and if you are in hurry you can be in and out within 45 minutes and with a full belly and a smile on your face!

We were excited to hear of a Vietnamese place in Dakar. There's a very friendly staff and a great menu but that's where our positive feedback stops. Our group of friends was not impressed. Nearly all dishes and cocktails lacked flavor and were on the other end of the spectrum from memorable. We won't go back and will try to forget it happened.

So we went to meet friends living in Paris for dinner who were spending a couple of weeks in Dakar. They suggested La plancha as it was in town close to where they were staying and a place with nice setting and food. I cannot stress again on how much one should avoid restaurants that have several cuisines on their menu and without a particular identity... this is one of them where one could find Italian, French, Senegalese/African and Asian... and when both my husband and I saw the menu we prepared ourselves psychologically for a bad dinner but were still hopeful for a miracle...that did not come!We ordered the rouleau de printemps/ Spring rolls, the noodles with calamari and I had the chicken Asian dish with rice (the sauce was not clearly specified ... but I was guaranteed that it was spicy and delicious). So the noodles, and do not ask me how the cook managed that, was so overcooked that almost looked smashed... no taste whatsoever also ...My dish was a winner where I could not identify anything...sauce unrecognisable for me... salty and no spices at all..the rice turned out to be plain white rice and also overcooked ad sticky... we just accepted the fate, had a few bites and went home with the promise to never repeat this mistake again.

Known as the best sushi restaurant in Dakar, this restaurant is located in the heart of old town. The restaurant is very popular so I recommend making a booking, especially over the weekend. There are a good variety of creative options available for all dietary requirements and the overall food, while pricey, is tasty. Staff are friendly and service speed is average. The only real downside is the plain décor and overall ambience.

Camillia is as beautiful as her son's cuisine is elegant, delicious, and generous. Everyone was very happy with their order. Simple, delicious and reasonably priced, perfectly located opposite the Centre Culturel français, downtown. It is definitely worth the visit, even if you have to come all the way from the other side of Dakar. You will not be disappointed.

We had a good business lunch here. Food was authentic Thai â and pretty spicy so be careful if you go above âmediumâ. Much of restaurant was very dark (mid-day!) but we found a table close to a window that was fine.
