Would definitely reccomend here to couples, families, anybody really. The atmosphere was lovely, the food was cooked to perfection ( we especially loved the Chill coriander naan, probably the best one we've had) after our meal we wasn't rushed to leave and they also waited a while which I thought was appropriate to give us the desert menu. Would definitely reccomend!

Had the Lahore Balti which was AB FAB. Probably the best curry I've ever had. Great combination of flavour and heat. Very nice restaurant, good decor, modern, reasonably priced for both food and drinks.My only downside is the staff are not very welcoming. Not offensive, but not congenial either. Would not stop me coming here though as the food is superb.

We ordered a takeaway, the first in 12 months. The service was good but unfortunately the same couldn't be said for the food. Most of the chips were hard, the noodles were very rubbery and popodoms were soft. So sad that the quality that used to be guaranteed has dropped, I will need to see a few positive reviews before trying the Mayfar again..Sorry

We had curry here last night. The curry was watery and both dishes were missing a substancial amount of meat. Just slices of chicken. Staff looked as if they would rather be somewhere else. Coming to pay man was more interested in answering phone for takeaway than serving us. Poppadoms and nan nice althought not much in the peswary nan. Not coming back as only indian restaurant in cowbridge and their stadadrds have slipped.

On an early Saturday evening, we were seated in an isolated corner surrounded by small children and their disinterested parents, after squeezing past parked prams. When asked to be moved we were told there were no available tables although there clearly were and we told to come back in an hour! We decided to leave and when my partner politely complained she was met with a couldn't care less attitude, when told she would give a poor review the staff said "Do what you like." needless to say we won't return.

We stopped here on an early Sunday evening returning from Bridgend, heading to Cardiff. We were looking for good Chinese cuisine, in a nice setting. The restaurant is situated in a small retail area in Cowbridge in a small sunny corner. We chose a table near the window with a view of the exterior courtyard. For meals we chose the Chinese buffet menu and had several starter dishes to share between two. The lettuce wraps were crisp with great noodle and meat fillings. We then went for chicken and sweetcorn and hot and sour soups. Also both tasty with good, fresh ingredients. A shared dish of won tons, crispy Malaysian style chicken and pork to finish. Also all very good.For mains we tried some new dishes created by the chef. We had special duck, and pork with spicy hoisin sauces and soft noodles and fried rice with pork and spring onions. Great dishes to end.All food is substantial, but of excellent quality. The servers were really pleasant and keen to ensure we enjoyed the food and ambience.We would definitely recommend.

We ate here recently while staying at The Bear Hotel. We were greeted so warmly and felt that very special attention was paid to us and our needs. The meal was very good and we will definitely return.

Visited this restaurant with friends. Would recommend booking as it was really busy on a Saturday night. It's on the outskirts of Cowbridge with a strange negotiation of the road if you're travelling from the Bridgend direction, but worth the hassle. The staff were friendly and helpful. The food was very, very good. The meat was tender and the dishes very tasty. I had the fish curry which was superb. Highly recommended. We will be returning soon.
