This is a very popular sushi restaurant and I find it to be a great place for getting Bento boxes...I've always tried their cucumber/avocado bentos - the portions are generous and the food is good. Prices are reasonable and service is quite friendly as well. You can call in advance as well and pickup the order.

Toyo may be a small restaurant, but it has a very extensive menu and is a good introduction to Japanese cuisine. There is a long list of sushi, maki and temaki (hand rolls). Dinner entrees include teriyaki, udon, and sashimi. There is a Chefâs menu containing a number of special and unusual sushi rolls. The décor consists of a number of wooden tables and a counter where you can watch the sushi makers. Service was very friendly and gracious. My wife and I were not very familiar with Japanese cuisine but our server Molly, was very patient and very helpful in explaining the menu contents and the various dishes. The restaurant is in a shopping center and parking is not a problem.

Ate here recently and found the lunch menu to offer a wide variety of wonderful meal selections including chicken, pork, beef and shrimp. Along with the choice came soup, rice and chow mein. All well prepared, served quickly and very inexpensive. It was a great lunch for a cold day.
This is a good stop if you're interested in some Korean Food. With a pretty wide variety of bulgogi beef, chicken, salmon, seafood, and more and a choice of bowl or plate with sides, there's enough to satisfy a variety of preferences. The food is tasty with that special Korean kick. Interestingly, they offer boba drinks, which is a drink with tapioca balls that originated in Taiwan.

New Lim's is our go-to place for traditional and familiar Chinese food. The Hong Kong style noodles, war won ton soup, deep-fried oysters, honey/walnut prawns, clams in black bean sauce, and many more are reliable satisfying dishes. The service is pretty good, even on busy nights. And they do a booming take-out business.

Good atmosphere, friendly service. The menu was a little daunting, but with help we had a nice selection of dishes. Mom was set on yellow curry chicken (excellent choice). I love the drunken noodles. We rounded out the meal with summer spring rolls, tom yum soup, and barbecue beef. The beef was a bit tough and gristley, but tasty. Whatever we didn't eat we lovingly packed to take home. The hard candy that came with the check was an unusual taste treat. I plan on returning for lunch someday.

This restaurant was a remodeled car hop fast food joint. Not fancy inside. We had prawn and walnuts, but the best dish was the sizzling plate of beef and scallops. The scallops were tender as was the beef. Lots of water chestnuts and bamboo shoots. The shrimp were piping hot. The place was busy with take out and the wait a bit long, so they brought out a freebie appetizer of a spring roll. We would definitely return if in the area.

While the restaurant is a bit small, the staff is very attentive and friendly. The chef has been working there for over 20 years and it shows. The flavors were very distinctive. I was there for a special buffet luncheon which included crab cakes, salmon rolls, chicken satay, something that looked like pork schnitzel and spicy beef and several different types of rice and noodles, some with seafood some without all of which was great. The salad was crisp and the dressing light and flavorful. Sadly, I learned that the owners of 25 years have sold this and their Walnut Creek restaurant, however, the staff is staying on as well as the recipes. So I will be back.

We have been going to Tachi for years... Since they were in their old location prior to the shopping center upgrade. I have to say I have a sushi problem... As in, I love the stuff so much that I have eaten it as dessert. This place is my absolute favorite. Our whole family loves it...even the non sushi eaters. Their teriyaki chicken/tempura combo is a favorite. We also love their green beans (in a sesame sauce). They have delicious salad dressing. They have fabulous specially rolls. Definitely worth trying if you are in the area. It is very close to the Concord Pavillion if you are planning to go to a concert and want to have a yummy dinner.
