Decided to try our local Thai restaurant up the road from us. Unfortunately it wasn't a great first visit. We ordered a ginger fish dish and lamb chops. Seeing as it is a busy establishment when we go past it, we were expecting something good. The fish dish was lacking fish. We counted 6 pieces of fried fish covered with the usual amount of vegetables. The fish was rubbery and overcooked. These felt like they may have been frozen at one stage. The sauce was amazing though. The lamb chops was also lacking. Four small lamb chops with the same vegetables and this time we could not eat the lamb as they were way too tough and overcooked again. When we asked about the amount of fish on the dish, our waiter agreed it was "light" on fish. We asked to swap the lamb dish for a small chicken cashew dish and this was much better, good sauce and well cooked chicken. For $27 for 4 pieces of overcooked lamb and $27.50 for 6 pieces of rubbery fish we found this to be one of the worst Thai meals we've had. Hopefully it was just us and a one off, but for the price of the meals, this was very poor.

Stopped at Cambridge on our way back up to Auckland, we are tourists from U.K. Fancied Thai so looked on Tripadvisor, spotted Noomsâ Kitchen so we decide to check it out. To be fair we would have walked past without Tripadvisor as quite a modest place mainly a takeaway with a handful of tables. How glad we were we stopped. We ordered 4 dishes and they were all excellent, the Pineapple fried rice was my favourite. In the UK we have paid twice the price for food that is nowhere near as good. Give Noomsâ a try you will be glad you did!!!! Great food

I'm very partial to Japanese food, and Courtyard Sushi did not disappoint. We enjoyed a range of sushi and tempura dishes with miso soup.Courtyard Sushi is bright and airy, with seating inside and out. Spotlessly clean throughout. If only they did alternative Japanese dishes!Recommended.

Came to Pony over the weekend to celebrate a birthday. The food seems to be a spanish, mexican, japanese and korean fusion? We ordered a variety of food, the PFC Chicken was so flavour some we all loved it.The rest of the food was good, a couple of items were forgotten about but the staff reordered them and they bought them out after maybe 10/15 minutes?I had been told that this was a Tapas restaurant but they only had 6 or 7 tapas options available. Must have had my wires crossed somewhere. The atmosphere is quite cool - the painting on the wall is absolutely stunning.
