Find out what Asian restaurants to try in Cambridge. Cambridge might be best known for its university, home to some of the world’s greatest minds (Milton, Darwin, Hawking, etc.). But there’s a vibrant theater and arts scene here as well, and you’ll find fantastic contemporary restaurants mixed in with traditional pubs. Climb the tower of Great St. Mary’s Church for sweeping views of the city.

I often go to yippee and have enjoyed many meals there but after receiving a meal which tasted vile I informed staff and was told I would have to be pay for it before I ordered anything else I obviously said no and after which was told never to come back and was spoken to rudely so I will definitely avoid going there in future .

We went to this restaurant tonight due to the website stating that they had vegan options. One main and one starter plus one V/A starter isnât really âoptionsâ. Plus food was average at best when it did arrive. A real shame as restaurant itself is very nice and staff pleasant enough.

We ate at the Tiffin Truck at lunchtime so wanted just a light meal. The atmosphere was lively, all teh staff very friendly and the service good. Being vegetarians we had the Vada Paav, Bun Tikki and shared a portion of Cocktail Samosa. The decor could do with a refresh and the menus could do with a good scrub but all of the food was absolutely delicious and very reasonably priced. We will come back!

This restaurant is perfect if you fancy really good quality food at a very reasonable price , having looked at different indian restaurant options in Cambridge we chose this based on the ratings and location .We were not disappointed, the food quality was perfect. This rates very highly for me due to the menu choice .My wifeâs starter was amazing (Samosa Chat) i decided on a Dosa as its not very often you see this on a menu. Main course i would recommend the Lasooni Murgh , it was absolutely beutifull . 2 starters,2 mains,2 rice naan bread and two drinks £44. Amazing value

This was my first time visiting Thaikhun, and it certainly wonât be my last! Really impressive, rapid food waiting service, dishing up authentic tasting Thai food at reasonable prices. The menu offers a good spread of dishes, with many vegetarian options and a ranging degrees of spiciness. The stir fried chicken in black bean sauce is very good with really nice sticky rice. The Thai red curry packs a punch and is a terrific, generous serving. The restaurant interior goes for a traditional Thai mock-up and extends some way back so thereâs plenty of seating both inside and out.Definitely one of my new favourite spots on Quayside!Thank you Khun gregwilson09 for taking the time to leave your review. It is an honour to hear that you found the food to be of such a good quality and value, we take great pride in serving Khun Kim's traditional Thai dishes. Our interior is inspired by the traditional Thai street markets in bagkok, and I am delighted to hear this was another key highlight on your visit. I look forward to sharing your comments with the team, and hope to welcome you back again soon. Kind Regards,Thaikhun Cambridge

I can absolutely recommend Luk Thai - beautiful Thai food and amazing friendly service. It had such a welcoming energy and I felt completely at home. Great place to take friends, very reasonably priced (especially after the generous discount they gave us) and proper soul food! Very happy.Thank you very much. we look forward to seeing you again.

Really enjoyed our meal here last night. The restaurant was buzzing & the food fresh, tasty & excellent. It was our first time here & we were not sure what to expect, being relatively new to Japanese food. We did order way too much & will definitely cut back next time. My only criticism, was that we were waiting to be seated for about 5 minutes & even though the restaurant was busy, it wouldâve been nice if at least one of the waiting staff or even bar staff had acknowledged our presence during this time. But once seated, the service was friendly & efficient so the earlier faux pas was forgiven. All in all a very enjoyable experience & one which I will be keen to repeat. Dear PaulaBen,Thank you so much for sharing your lovely feedback. We are thrilled that you enjoyed the atmosphere and our team managed to make you feel comfortable and relaxed. We would love to have you back in the near future. Kind Regards,Sticks'N'Sushi

Came on a Saturday evening as visiting Cambridge for our wedding anniversary. We found the Hakka on Tripadvisor and we are so pleased we did. I must have driven past it several times as our son was at nearby Jesus College, but never noticed it - the power of social media .....As intimated by others this is a âone man bandâ. Ok, service may not be what used are used to from chains, but it is all freshly cooked and Daniel was happy to advise on selections. Starters were superb. I can in particular recommend the crispy lamb with pancakes and the Dim Sum.Mains were equally tasty and original. The chicken satay may be too hot for some but I loved it. The barbecue pork and the prawns we had were to die for. Accompanied by special fried noodles. This is a small restaurant, maybe 32ish covers, and there is no overpowering music blasting out. And at the end Daniel kindly arranged a cab for us, and told us when it was outside.A very enjoyable and memorable meal. Thank you Daniel. When back in Cambridge we will return, deffo.

We are blessed - or maybe that should be "cursed" - with dozens of Indian/Pakistani/Bangladeshi restaurants in Cambridge. Many are not really very good. This has become our favourite, even though it's a long trek across town for us. It has fresh, interesting food with decent service.
