Reviews on Asian food in Brooklyn, New York, United States. It seems like most folks have a grandmother, great-uncle or some other distant relative that used to live in Brooklyn, or perhaps a friend that lives there now. In the early 1900s, it was a mecca for immigrants arriving via Ellis Island. A hundred years later, young professionals and artists left pricey Manhattan digs for Brooklyn's cheaper and more expansive space. Neighborhoods like Brooklyn Heights and Park Slope, which had fallen into disrepair over the years, were restored and reborn as funky enclaves. Walk or bike over the historic Brooklyn Bridge (or ride the subway) to Brooklyn Heights for a stroll along the Promenade and breathtaking views of the Manhattan skyline. Meander through Prospect Park and the Brooklyn Botanical Gardens for a taste of nature in the urban wilds. Catch a performance at the world-famous Brooklyn Academy of Music. From the delicious Italian restaurants of Bensonhurst to the Irish bars that line the avenues of Bay Ridge, from the hotdogs and rollercoasters of Coney Island to the bagels and handball courts of Greenpoint, Brooklyn is a state of mind as well as a dynamic community. Discover why, no matter where people move on to, they remain Brooklynites at heart.

Visited after seeing many you tube videos and reviews. Booked through open table for 7.30 waited until 7.50 to get seated. Ordered the crispy Korean chicken which was nice then chose the spicy ramen and triple garlic ramen. Felt underwhelmed by both dishes was expecting rich, flavourful broth with tasty egg, meat and well flavour. But was bland, noodles no different than a store bought pack. Small carafe of wine and well hello nearly $80! Skip the ramen head to Chinatown and save some pennies.

Stopped by another place nearby and was underwhelmed with the food. Still slightly hungry so we stopped by here for some dumplings. Ordered the truffle soups dumplings and boy they were really good! You could probably find many other dishes in other places in Chinatown, but the truffle soup dumplings appear to be pretty unique to Shanghai 21

This was a really fab Indian meal. We popped in without a reservation and were lucky enough to get a table for 2 on Friday evening. The service was excellent. The owner came over twice to see if we were happy. The Paneer starter was just amazing. Mains were very tasty too. Malbec house wine spot on too. Would definitely recommend.

Went for a father/daughter "date night" and the experience was perfect. Impeccable service, amazing creative food and a surprisingly laid back atmosphere. Sitting at the counter watching/interacting with the team preparing the meal was definitely a highlight as well.

This was our first dining experience at a Korean Michelin restaurant and we were blown away by the dishes, their presentation, taste, textures, flavours and the right level of umami. This is a two Michelin star restaurant and absolutely worth the experience. We had the seasonal menu, and found the portions just right for us to be able to enjoy every dish. A definite must for gourmands
