Find out what Asian restaurants to try in Blue Mountains. The Blue Mountains are named for the delicate azure haze that lingers along the region, which is actually a fine cloud of oil emitted by eucalyptus trees. The mystical mountains are a labyrinth of plateaus, gorges and gum trees. Check out the Katoomba Scenic Railway (the steepest railway in the world), the Jenolan Caves and the Giant Staircase nature walk.

If you want to try a mind blowing treat then don't miss this place. Cozy place which dished out the best Thai jungle chicken curry, Thai flat rice noodles (with basil) and I asked for the extra hot sauce (red chillies dipped in soya sauce). Loved it and will come back !

A great place to stop for a tasty lunch with fresh produce. The lemongrass mojito was amazing. Spring rolls were great followed by a chicken noodle salad. Our meals arrived at different times but it was definitely worth the mild inconvenience. Would highly recommend.

This unassuming "hole in the wall" Chinese restaurant does a close facsimile to "American Style" Chinese food, especially the large spring rolls. The service is good and the prices quite reasonable. The chef is enthusiastic and often comes out to chat with his customers. The venue is reasonably quiet, especially at lunch, and a good place to have business discussions. I eat here several times a month.

Madame Wang's Restaurant is where East meets West. A unique quirky intimate restaurant with intriguing decor and living room ambiance tucked away above an antique store at the top of Leura Mall. The menu is ecclectic with dishes from Germany, Indonesia, I

Located at the top of Katoomba Street near the train station, this popular local cafe offers a variety of quality food at reasonable prices. Whilst modern and traditional Asian cuisine is the speciality, old Aussie favourites are also on offer (lunch only
Our experience through the night was wonderful! The food came quickly in a short amount of time in just within 10-15 minutes of 4 main dishes and 2 entrees which were all very delicious. The waitress was very warm and welcoming and provided us a very helpful guide in the variety of choices we can choose from on the menu. Prices were incredibly reasonably and were totally worth it as the portions of each main dishes can fit at least 2 people. Some other tables like us resulted in getting boxes for take away for the same reason. Loved the attentive service of the waitresses! Would be back once we're in town.

We went to this restaurant tonight, our last night in Katoomba before heading back to Melbourne, it started out great at 6:20pm when we arrived. We were served quickly and we ordered our entree and drinks. All good at this point. We finished the soup and said we were ready for the main course. Meanwhile a table of four turned up (at least half an hour after us) and were very quickly served a bottle of red wine.We waited, and watched the late table of four served up their main course. Sometime later a second main course, and fifteen minutes later another main course. The restaurant wasn't particularly busy, so we hoped our meal wasn't too far away. We were sadly mistaken.Meanwhile another table of three arrived and within ten minutes had their main meal on the table. By now we were pretty hungry and cranky. We asked where our meal was. The waitress walked away and returned saying there was a mix up and the table of four had our meal. We found this a bit strange, as what they had in their table was not what we'd ordered, all three seperate servings. We looked about the restaurant and saw three other tables also in the same situation as us. Waiting, as the table of four were given preferential treatment/service over us. It became obvious the staff knew these people as they were taking happy snaps while we still waited for our meal of one main course and rice.We eventually got our meal at 7:30 after complaining about the preferential treatment of one table to the detriment of service to three other tables of customers. We were offered a free glass of wine, fortune cookies but, too little too late. No thank you. Something needs to be done about the service offered. All paying customers should be treated with equal respect and standard of service, no matter what race, gender or religion you are. We're still pretty upset and disappointed about the discrimination we experienced tonight.

We visited as a large group early on a Saturday evening. A glitch with our confirmed booking was resolved fairly quickly. The service was friendly and the food plentiful and delicious. For the size and quality of the dishes, prices were very reasonable.

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed the Thai Green Curry here. It can be difficult to find good food at reasonable prices in the Blue Mountains area, but we found it here. We've been to Thailand and the food here tastes authentic. We certainly recommend Maprang Thai for its great cuisine.

This is a really cute restaurant in the centre of town. We ordered the beef bulgolgi, the korean pancake and the rice noodles - all were delicious. Its only small so you might need to share a long table as it does fill up. Also we were there is winter and it is very drafty and had to leave our coats on - so if the team could figure out a way to keep the diners warm in winder that would be great!
