Things to do in Blacktown
We have been here a few times (my husband used to live in the area before we were married) and we really enjoyed every meal we had there (usually chow mein, satay, blackbean, chicken & vegetable, fried rice, long & short soup). The people who own the place are lovely too. Good if you are after a nice meal that will not set you back a lot of money.

I was never in love with Vegetarian dish, but chatpata completely changed my taste buds. I never ever had the tastiest veg food not even on my visit to India. Their masala chai is to die for and the service of the staffs especially Mandeep who is outstanding. I visit them more often now. only disappointment is you got to wait for long to get a table and i guess they need to make the area larger enough so space is equally aligned. the tables are very close to each other that you can see what the person sitting next to your table is eating.

My family and i had dinner at the Lyton Chinese Restaurant on someone's recommendation and we were not disappointed. We all ordered our usual dishes, and they were all PERFECTO!!! We had Satay Chicken, Mongolian Lamb, Salt & Pepper Squid, Lemon Chicken and Chicken Chow Mien and they were all great. Perfect balance of flavours at your typical Chinese restaurant. What stood out for us all was how fresh the food was. Hosts were funny and accommodating as wellI cannot understand ANY negative feedback for this place. If i had anything to say I would say the Satay had a little too much Onions in it, but apart from that, all the dishes were perfect.I highly recommend this place and its now my favourite Chinese restaurant

Well I used t get my Chinese food from Bow's in Main street Blacktown but no more. I have finally found a better Chinese food place in New Wan Wah Chinese on Reservoir Road Blacktown. They have been there for years but i have only discovered them. The food is amazing from the Satay Chicken, to the Mongolian Beef, to the honey Chicken etc, etc etc. They also do an amazing LARGE Spring Roll which is to die for. Yes its oily, smelly and everything else a good Chinese takeaway food should be.I highly recommend New Wan Wah for the best Chinese food in Blacktown

On every second Sunday, there is a seafood special for $18.90. The serve was huge and could be shared between 2 persons. It had a piece of fried fish (could be whiting), curried calamari, prawn curry (about 2 pieces), spinach and coconut sambar, yoghurt and rassam (sour soup).I also did a takeaway of butter prawns which was disappointing as the prawns were very chewy and mostly sauce in the box.Service was very friendly and by the time we were into our meals, the little place was full to capacity. Most of the clientele were Sri Lankans or Indian, so you know it must be good food..

If you're in Blacktown and craving a sushi train experience then this is it (plenty of sushi roll outlets about). As others say there's a good range going around & around (pun intended) but keep track of your plate stack because it will add up at the till. Personally I'd go elsewhere for a more authentic sushi and atmosphere (see my 'Busshari' review)

Pasteur Vietnamese Restaurant prides itself in making authentic and delicious Vietnamese cuisine from South Vietnam. We are a family owned business who are passionate about food and would love to share our food with the world.
First time to go here. It's at Flushcombe road. I ordered grilled pork chop with noodle soup. Hubby ordered combination fried rice. Daughter ordered steamed rice with crispy skin chicken.Next time I would just order the grilled pork chop with rice. I don't like the noodle soup. The noodles' texture feels like they're not that cooked even though it's been swimming in a very salty hot soup. I just ate the pork chop and have left most of the noodle soup. The fried rice combination have 1 piece prawn, 1 piece squid, small pieces of beef, small pieces ofa pork and pieces of chicken.Crispy skin chicken is yummy tho.Total bill of the 3 is $39.I will try the other food next time.

Been coming here now for more than 5 years and they never disappoint! The "Xiao-long-bao" (Pork soup dumpings) are always super fresh, hot and tasty as can be!The pan Fried Pork Dumplings (which had a recipe change for the better sometime last year) are awesome and big too!!Sometimes if there is an extra person we also get a serve of 'Har-Gow' (steamed Prawn Dumplings) which are also super delicious!!!We add either a Combination Pad-See-Ew or Fried Rice and that will fill us to the brim! Leaving a little bit of room for the Mango Pacakes they sell now also!!Will keep going back for many years to come I suspect also - YUM guys!!!

My husband's mother was staying with us for a few days so we decided to go somewhere new to eat. We chose Lalor Thai as we'd never been before even though we live in the area. We were absolutely delighted at the variety available and it was just a taste sensation all around. The food was beautiful, the staff friendly and helpful with the menu and it was really affordable. The only downside I would say is the lighting is a bit on the dull side which makes it a little difficult to read the menu other than that we loved it and will definitely be back.

I used to regularly buy food from a Burmese restaurant in Blacktown city but sadly it closed many years ago. I really missed that food.I was therefore very happy when I spotted Sun's Burmese Kitchen and decided to try their food. Their menu is quite limited but the owners are very friendly and helpful.Sun's Chicken Danbauk (one of their speciality dishes) was excellent and so was their chicken curry. Sadly, they couldn't cook any parathas for me.
