Good quality of food, not just meat but also salad is fresh. There's a salad bar but I did not try and I just ordered a dish of salad. The presentation of dish is marvelous. Every table is in a private room and it's a brilliant idea - you won't disturb the table next to you in any way. Will definitely go again if I visit the city again.

This place has extremely delicious noodles!!! If you want to avoid waiting outside the shop (since the place is really small) avoid going right during lunchtime. Around2-3pm is recommended. The atmosphere is very homey and the staffs are super nice. The spicy noodle soup is recommended.

As a big fan of reimen (Korean cold noodles) I knew had to come this place which is very popular with locals though not especially close to anything else. If you look up this restaurant on Google Maps, it will have a weird name like âhand base of the cold noodleâ or something. I waited 30 minutes after writing my name on the list at the door and ordered the standard reimen dish. They have many other kinds of dishes as well, most of them Chinese (even though reimen is originally a Korean dish). The reimen doesnât taste anything like real reimen in Korea or even reimen at other shops in Japan. Thatâs not a bad thing though! The noodles are hand-made and very chewy and the char siew tangy and robust from the vineyards broth. Itâs the perfect dish to cool he body down after a day soaking in hot springs.

Chanced upon this place along the small alley near our BnB. The traditional style & non-touristy feel had us try it without hesitance & it turned out we ate one of the best sushi we have ever had! The freshness of the fish, coupled with the generous mouth-filling portion, every bite is heavenly! We went back 2 days in a roll & would have done it everyday had we stay longer in Beppu. Thumbs up!

The restaurant was very close to the Beppu Station, only a 10-minute walk away.Along the street in front of the train station, there were tens of restaurant, many of them were nearly empty during weekdays. However, Robata Jin was fully-seated every day, right after 17:00, when it opened.I tried several dishes, all of which tasted good. My personal favorite was the skewers: fresh and delicately seasoned.I ordered some sashimi, skewers, tango (a local dish with wider noodles and miso) and a grilled eggplant. The total cost was just 2,730 yen.

Had dinner with the family on a weekend night. The restaurant was packed, mostly with locals, but the queue moved quite quickly. Food quality was excellent, with very fresh sashimi and delicious hotpot set meals offered. Service was fast and efficient. Price for the meal was very reasonable, which might explain its popularity. The restaurant has a small carpark next to it, where patrons can park for free. But it is small, with only about 5-6 lots. Paid parking is available close by as well.

Went to Hajime Sushi for dinner and ordered the sushi platter. All I could say is WOW! The seafood is fresh! I guess that explains why the restaurant is packed and even the Japanese made reservations before coming. We were lucky to get seats. â¤ï¸

I think this is the best place to eat sushi in this prefecture. The fish is cut big size and the Shari( Rice ) is good hardness. My favorite "Neta" are "Salmon" and "Akagai"!! you should try!
