Saman Villas offers a diverse selection of dining experiences. You may choose to dine in the cosy elegance of our restaurant, out beneath the stars, on a moonlight drenched beach or perched on a rock as the waves break beneath you. Other unique dining loc
The fine dining restaurant attached to Saman Villas is open to the public as well as the residents. The food, we ate there on 5 occasions, is freshly prepared, always beautifully presented and delightfully cooked. All meals were also served with a complimentary amuse-bouche & a pallet cleanser, wines were reasonably priced for a restaurant environment and the service was outstanding by very attentive staff, we were served by many during our stay, and although I cant recall all their names Rushan & Iresha were among those who excelled at their job. Definitely worth a visit

We were a group of 8 family and friends that turned up at this cafe on our first night in Bentota. What a wonderful place. The food was yummy and the atmosphere and view of the beach was so tropical and fun. They gave us a bread starter and I am not sure what it was but it was amazing. I had grilled prawns and though not super cheap they were super fresh. The staff were excellent as well.

Bamboos Garden restaurant is one that just makes you feel like you're not sure whether you went out or you came home and confuses you. It all comes back to the basics. Serve customers the best-tasting food at a good value in a clean, comfortable restauran
My husband and I stopped for a cup of tea non the way back to our hotel. We were given complimentary local cakes and when we asked for the bill, the owner wouldnât let us pay for anything. He said âthere is too much tea in Sri Lanka, you donât need to payâ. We said we would come back for dinner with our friends. We went the next night and werenât disappointed. We were given a complimentary appetiser and had devilled prawns, prawn curry, four curries, and fish fingers( goujons not birds eye!). Everyone enjoyed their meal. The waiters were all lovely and friendly and chatty, we had a good laugh with them. The food did take a while to arrive, but we didnât mind as we were enjoying our drinks. I think they obviously have a small kitchen and it shows that everything is cooked fresh. The food is very good value and it was the cheapest meal we had had in Sri Lanka. Definitely worth a visit if you are staying in the area for a few days.

The place is family owned and run. We asked to try the vegan mixed Sri Lankan dishes - all very cooked to order and great. I also had the fish curry - this was ok, but not marvelous. My wife is Sri Lankan and a good cook - the dishes here we both thought were good.

This place is the highlight of my 9 days at Taj Bentota. All the staff was so friendly and they even went above and beyond to make drumstick leave sandwich for me as I tested their service.I met Rana in person and he is so humble and helped out with anything we needed. It was such a great atmosphere and food was better than 5 star restaurants and resorts in this area. I hope to be in touch with these guys and they really gave us a very memorable time in Bentota. Thank you Nila Rana and rest of the team.

The Nebula Pier 88 Restaurant is located on the Bentota River next to the Nebula Supermarket in Aluthgama. The Restaurant specialises in sea food and asian cuisine and has a fantastic view. *** Tax free Restaurant
My lovely wife and I popped into Pier 88's coffee shop to escape the rain one afternoon. It's separate from the main bar/restaurant area in a nice air conditioned room with plenty of comfy seating. As ever in Sri Lanka, decent espresso coffee comes with a hefty price tag. My large cappacino cost 480 rupees but it was pretty good. My wife had a chocolate & banana shake for 500 rupees and we shared a slice of chocolate fudge cake for another 500 rupees bringing the total bill to 1480 rupees. You can easily get a meal for two for less but if you fancy treating yourself then this is a good choice as everything is high quality and the ambiance very pleasant.Dear Eddy,So glad to hear you enjoyed your coffee and cake at Cafe88 Aluthgama. Thanks for checking us out and taking the time to share.Hope to see you again,if you are ever back in town .Many greetings from Cafe 88 Team.

Booked for dinner after many phone calls not being answered. Had the special garlic prawns which were tiny and tasted like they had been cooked in marmite served with a slice of white toast?!? Then ordered Thai chicken curry which my friend said was tasty. My tuna was so tough I sent it back. Told I would have a new one in 2 mins. After 15 mins when friend had finished eating and the table was cleared I went to find out where mine was. It arrived several minutes later stone cold. Sent it back and didnât pay for it. This place should not be no1. Try sunshine instead and see my review Would not recommend jungleDear valued guest, thank you for taking time to review Jungle Beach Ahungalla. We are sorry that you had this experience at our restaurant. As you can see in our menu the Sweet & Spicy Prawns are a starter, so they are not big sized and that they are served with toast. We are having very clear rules that our service should sell tuna steaks only when they are very fresh, so that they don't get tough. This was definitely our mistake and the management has taken action already. This should not happen anymore. Also it is not possible for our kitchen to prepare a new tuna steak in 2 minutes. Also there for we have taken action and excuse the wrong information of our service staff. He should have offered you a sear fish steak as an alternative. So it would be great to see you once again. You would definitely revisit your review. Thank you and have a nice day!
