This visit was our second and if not for our guests, we would not have dined here. Our guests wanted to have an experience of having dinner while watching the sunset at dinner and Khun Thai had that to offer with the beach and sea too. We ordered Steamed Fish Thai Style, Prawn Cakes, Mango Salad and Kangkong Sambal. We wanted Sayur Paku Sambal but were told they did not have it and we had to opt for the kangkong. Taste was average, nothing exceptional. Pricing on the high side compared to other Thai eateries.

We came here for dinner before catching our flight back to Singapore. The restaurant is located far South passed the Airport, just after the other famous restaurant Khun Thai. The restaurant setup is huge, easily sit 100 with space to spare.Food from order to our table is fast, perhaps due to an army of Service Staff and Cooks, The seafood is fresh and tasty, and price is reasonable. We had some special dishes :Deep Fried Stuffed BrinjalStuffed Bitter Gourd with minced pork.Steamed Fish. Will come back again if in Penang.
First and foremost...the crab dish that we ordered was fresh!!! I mean .. FREESSHHH!!! They predominantly serve seafood dishes but thereâs other options too. The food that was served was delicious although it was a tad under-seasoned.Good place to take your family here!

This restaurant should be candidate for Michelin stars, what a high level cooking, quality, freshnes, flavours, creativity, location and service. We are world wide travellers and this dinners was sure one of the best of my 50 years culinair experiences. We highly recommend this restaurant and, for the western people, don't let you influence by the look of the building and parking.

Bustling hawker center at night! Delicious Penang food and we ate as much as we could: Char Kuey Teow, Assam Laksa, Lor Bak, Leng Chee Kang, Rojak, Fried Oysters. Yums!

You have to go early to find a place to sit. Service was fast and polite. Place is reasonably clean. The lemon steam fish, mantis prawns and tom yam seafood is truly amazing. Strongly recommended.

Came here for dinner, restaurant was literally empty, food was average, the steam fish we ordered was terrible with fishy smell and the meat was disintegrating. Another dish we ordered was deep fried fish with garlic which did not arrive at the table and seeing that the steam fish was pathetic we did not even bother to ask where was our deep fried fish with garlic. The only above average dish was the steam squid. The restaurant next door was full of people.

There are a variety of food court in Penang. This food court prices are not really that cheap and the food are just average. The serving portion are rather small compare to the price that you are paying. You can get a variety of hawker food at the Sunshine Market Food Court which is not very far away from Supertanker. The food there are cheaper and much tastier. There is also the Fisherman's Man Wharf Food Corner located at Lebuh Sungei Pinang serving hawker food. Ample car park and there is a live band performance after 9pm.

Gen Communal Table is a Modern Malaysian Restaurant located in Georgetown, Penang serves tasting menus with local produceâ in a communal setting.
I wanted to be surprised and Chef Johnson and his team did much more than surprising me!. Nice setting, open kitchen, attentive service (I disagree with some other comments below), smooth service all the way (as sometimes it takes too long to be served 14 courses)Creative plating, very original dishes like the boneless chicken wings, the leek in banana leaf, the duck perfectly cooked... and the surprising pineapple dessert. A great Secret Tables experience recommended to gourmet travelers to Penang!
