Would recommend a large box, great selection with enough food for two! Open kitchen, very clean. Young girl on counter is so friendly, knowledgeable and friendly!

As a person who is not a fan of Chinese food, my 4 out of 5 stars may be a bit of a harsh score. We ordered from the set menu (£19.50 for 2 which included starters and 2 mains & 2 portions of rice), which is usually uninspiring, but the fact that there were duck spring rolls as a starter shows you this set menu is very different. The food was not the usual grease fest that I am used to, but really tasty and freshly cooked. Usually spring rolls are greasy flaky pastry wrapped in very little filling, but the duck spring rolls had plenty of filling with gorgeous flaky pastry. The prawn toast actually tasted of prawn and the two main dishes (Malaysian beef and salted chilli chicken) were really good. There was also enough food in our £19.50 deal for 2 portions of lunch the next day.I would definitely eat here again and would certainly recommend the restaurant to anyone, whether you like Chinese or not.

Probably one of the best little gems in Bangor! The special early Eve 3 course meal is well worth it. My starter was 5 Garlic mushrooms after poppadoms and dips) then my main was Chicken Korma with Cheesy Naan bread (well recommended). We didn't have drinks but just ordered a jug of water. The staff are attentive and friendly and also chatted to my 12yr old. Pay them a visit. Highly recommended !!

Both in the prices and the spices. A (what should be) fairly mild Rogan Josh was killed off by the heavy handed use of chilli. Service was gruff and condescending at times. What iced the cake for us in respect of not returning were the prices. Itâs just too dear. Customers are paying heavily for their Main Street top-whack rent and rates bills. First time there, last time there Iâm afraid. Oh and to those that believe the poppadoms and sauces are free? Hardly. Their cost is factored into the cost of everything on their menu. Itâs a business after all, not a charity.

the Bengali people are the greatest food lovers in the Indian subcontinent. a leisurely meal of many items which requires long hours of labour and ingenuity in the kitchen which has long been a major part of the Bengali culture. we provide authentic mouth
Decided to get our Indian takeaway from somewhere different as opposed to getting from our usual Indian restaurant & we were very disappointed. We had a starter of prawn puri, 2 mains chicken pathia & korai, plain naan & peshwari nan. The pathia was very sweet, not sweet n sour which is what itâs supposed to be. The korai was completely bland & I mean tasteless, almost watery. For the first time in my life I put salt onto Indian food & Iâve been eating Indian food for 20 years! I can only assume the korai was a basic sauce & the chef didnât add the required spices?? The prawn puri was also tasteless no flavour whatsoever. I always order âfried riceâ with Indian food as opposed to the usual pilau rice as it has more flavour. The fried rice was tasteless, may as well have got the pilau rice. Very disappointed so will be going back to our usual takeaway restaurant Green Chili!Thank you for visiting us and we are very sorry you had a bad experience with us the chef did not add any salt to the curry sause and he is cery sorry about it and will make sure it never happens again will make sure food standards are left in a high rating. Sorry for any inconvenience

My husband and I come here when we fancy Indisn good. Its the only Indian restaurant we est in and have been coming here for years. It is without a doubt the best in Bangor. The portions are very generous. Our meal on tuesday night was fantastic. Joy...( excuse spelling) was in the kitchen cooking and I knew as soon as the food arrived. The fried rice was amazing as was everything.Friendly staff, couldn't have been nicer. Will return very soon .

The food was great (as it has been on every occasion I have been there). Topan chicken and salted chilli chicken are delicious! Slightly overpriced at £18.50 per person as the portions do get a lot smaller with each order. The place needs a major revamp though. Very dated decor and it makes the place look grotty. This isnât helped by the fact it is freezing...what sort of restaurant doesnât have heating? You also STINK of food after leaving, so better to be heading straight home after. Probably best getting a takeaway from here rather than sitting in.

We arrived in Bangor and found a leaflet advertising Tom's and so we checked online and found it had a large selection of gluten-free options. The theme of the restaurant is that of a diner with a lot of distressed paintwork, but it is very atmospheric. The staff were helpful, pleasant and cheerful and the single page menu offered appetisers, veggie, meat grill, chicken, fish and sides. The chili chicken wings starter was excellent, well-cooked with the meat coming off the bones with the slightest pull. The mains we chose were fish (for me) and chicken for my friend, both very tasty. We normally skip puddings but we were enjoying ourselves enough that we indulged.A very pleasant night out and we shall go again.

Lovely romantic dinner, staff were all excellent especially the manager who was very knowledgeable about allergens and even cooked something not on the menu for me. Poppodoms complementary. Very good gluten free options. Lovely atmosphere. Even offered us complementary sparkling wine and fruit juice with the bill. Food so tasty and flavoursome.
