We were staying at a hotel nearby and wrongly assumed that Ichi-san was empty when we walked by -- definitely not the case. They have a dining room upstairs, and a terrace/balcony outdoors. The crowd was lively, and our dinners were very good--mixed sushi plus miso soup and vegetable tempura that were delicious. Service was very good and our waitress very friendly. Definitely to be recommended.

This restaurant is located across the road from the Hotel Residenzschloss. We did not have a booking but they accommodated us at a high table which suited us fine. It's the kind of place you would walk past as it is quite dark and we thought it was closed but when you go in you discover that the back area, I suppose you would call it a beer garden area, was open and trading. We had dinner there two nights out of the five we were in Bamberg and I would definitely go to eat there if I ever return to Bamberg. The staff were extremely friendly and efficient, the atmosphere was great and the food was fantastic. Put this on your list of places to eat in Bamberg!!!

Came here with a friend from Cologne after looking at another place with vegetarian options. We walked around and just happened to come across it. There were a few tables outside, but all were full. However, there were lots of tables inside, and while we would have preferred an outside table with the great warm evening, it turned out fine. The summer rolls and dumplings are delicious, the mango salad is light and tasty, the passion fruit juice smells and tastes great. My spouse had the shrimp with a crunchy sweet potato crisps and a side salad, all of which he liked. They have really reasonable prices, lots of good sized appetizers, curries, soups, salads, and main dishes.

This restaurant is something different than typical german food. You can make a break and make a few additional meters to spend time drinking good wines, eating Tom Kha soup and sushi. There is also some selection of sweet deserts. Service is very good and helpful, prices quite reasonable.Highly recommended.

Went last night and had the miso soup and the beef salad. The soup was good, but the salad was INCREDIBLE: Two different dressings on it, both incredible. Beef was definitely gingery- but not overpowering. Great variety of lettuce with cucumbers, avocado, red peppers and somethings that was crunchy. I honestly hadn´t even finished my meal and I was planning when I could come back. HIGHLY recommend. Side note: Kind of strange with their reservations. I called and made a 5:30 reservation and on the phone they stated twice it was only until 7:30. Then, when we arrived, they reminded us we only had until 7:30. Sure enough, at 7:35 the waitress came over and asked us to pay and leave. Really, two hours IS enough for dinner, but I found the whole thing a bit strange.
