Transiting from Nairobi to lake manyara, we had our lunch at this beautiful restaurant, part of the Four points Sheraton in Arusha, and it proved to be one of the best lunches we had while traveling world over. The General manager Mr Apujit took pains to make our lunch memorable and the Chef Mr Ravi ensured that we got a perfect Indian food in the land of the Big Fives.
We were displeased with our hotel restaurant and the our transportation guru, Bushwide African Safaris, arranges dinner for us at Amani. The atmosphere was beautiful and the food was amazing. The boutique hotel attached is opening in September and thatâs where we will stay next visit. We had a group of 22 and the food was perfect and hot. Wonderful!

I remembered this place from visiting a year ago and had decided to head back asap (whenever in Arusha). It's brilliant to have Japanese food, including the 'home-cooking' noodle dishes and not only posh sushi, available in this medium-sized TZ town. Yesterday I had the seafood butter noodle soup which was indeed comforting and tasty as expected. 'Seafood' means calamari that was a bit too tough to enjoy and one lone shrimp. Other than that, I enjoyed it a lot. The waitress wasn't too bothered with service quality and when you look at the place it's kind of grimy, but never mind, food's worth it.

We had a dinner after sunset in FlameTree. I hardly can remember any so relaxing and peaceful dinner in my life. Atmosphere there is awesome, food is very good, staff is polite and tries not to disturb you much. For romantic dinner would be just perfect.
Where to eat Bar food in Arusha: The Best Restaurants and Bars
I lived and worked in Arusha for almost a year and a half, until very recently, and I was wondering why Hot Plate did not have its place in the list of reviewable restaurants in Arusha. This place is a star.Although hidden away in a side street of the main Sokoine Rd., it is by now well-known to locals and non-locals for the quality of its food. My family and I quickly became weekly regulars and when we had to move, my wife had to ask chef Ritesh for his recipe of Butter Chicken, which my son had practically grown addicted to.The whole range of dishes prepared at Hot Plate is true to the overwhelming nature of Indian flavours and the portions are very generous.Simply, for all those months, we had no reason to ask ourselves whether we should go somewhere else...

Our dinner outing at this hotel was very short but a memorable one in Arusha. Would have missed the food here if we would have opted not to go.... Our Tour operator Mr.Nishit Bhatt from Ambatana tours and safari had arranged our dinner at this place on our return from Ngorongoro Crater on the way to the airport. He had ordered Veg. jalfrezi, paneer tikka masala, Butter Chicken, Butter naan and rice for us.must say the Butter chicken was totally awesome. Loved it a lot...

We recently went on a family trip to Tanzania. While at Arusha, a friend recommended this joint for our dinner. We found that this place was a haven for Indian delicacy. We came here to have Masala dosa but finally left after having Chicken Biriyani too. I was not very sure whether the dosa would taste authentic and so requested the chef. But I was most impressed when I found Ritesh, the owner of Hot Plate himself preparing our dosas. We found the food and service excellent. We decided to have our next day's lunch and dinner there also. The chicken Biriyani was most delicious. We never knew that we would get such authentic Indian cuisine at Arusha. The whole credit for the success of this restaurant lies on the shoulders of Ritesh , the owner. He is an extremely amiable person and takes personal care of the customers.

As with most addresses in Africa there is no street number. However I believe you have the Gymkhana Club listed and the restaurant is literally in front of the swimming pool
The food was good. I had the Prawns Sizzler and it had a really nice flavor. I did find the Spring Rolls to be very greasy though.
