If anyone remembers eating Chinese in the 70's, before it got overloaded with sugar, this is right up your street. Extremely welcoming and friendly greeting, even for takeaway customers and we were invited to sit at a table to order and wait for our takeaway, in old fashioned 70's decor, which I did not mind at all. All the dishes were better than expected and the chop suey was as it was meant to be, NOT overloaded with the sweet and sour sauces that every dish in every other takeaway seems tainted with. We are going again.

My wife and I have eaten here many times and took some friends there on Saturday , 1st June, even though we told them it was superb they were still amazed at the high quality of every course and the brilliant service. Hoisum may be slightly more expensive but it is worth every penny. Without doubt this is our favourite in the Eastbourne area and the food is exceptional.

Wanting a curry after a hectic and stressful day, finding that the restaurant I had been recommended was closed on a Monday, I chose this restaurant as it was close by. I had some trouble with the website but ended up calling them. Boy, Iâm glad I did! Easy order, pickup on time and a really good, tasty, well presented and inexpensive curry. It was gorgeous! The interior looks really nice, the service was friendly enough. âIâll be backâ

Modern Japanese Restaurant in Eastbourne serving a fresh selection of Sushi, Sashimi, and other popular delicious hot foods.
Went here last night with friends on the back of reviews on here, Facebook and a personal recommendation. Service was so friendly and we were helped to navigate an extensive menu to make some great food choices, which did not disappoint. Definitely will return.

The Bengal Palace is a friendly family owned restaurant where you can enjoy innovative Indian cuisine in elegant and stylish surroundings. Great pride is taken in creating an extensive range of contemporary dishes from Bengal and the Indian continent. The
Taken me a while to get round to writing this and I honestly cannot say why it has. We head here a lot for meals so are treated as regulars, I suppose. However, let's compare and contrast last night's experience with one of our first (some 20 months ago).Last night, the restaurant was set to be very busy when we walked in. A party of 18 were due in and there were several other small tables already being fed. We ordered our dishes, one from the regular menu and one for the more adventurous eaters. We did not have to wait long at all for service (from the ever friendly, ever helpful staff) nor did we have to wait long for the food to arrive at our table. On the first time we visited we were treated as though we were regulars, little realising that was what we would become. There's two reasons for that. Firstly, the staff, and secondly, the quality of the food.I'm not an expert on Indian food (nor any food from that region of the world, for that matter) but I do know what I like, and I can spot the difference between quality and average probably better than most given I have worked in the industry.Let me tell you now that these dishes are of a superior quality and you can tell that not only the front-of-house staff but also those never-mentioned chefs are as concerned about the quality of food as anyone, if not more so. If you can manage to cook superb food in a kitchen with a Tandoor in weather like we've been having, you deserve the status of legend. Please visit. Please visit again. And Again. It's well worth it.Oh wow! This must be the most comprehensive and rewarding (for the staff) review ever. it's brilliant to be recognised by someone who has worked in the industry and appreciates the effort the team put in, both in the restaurant and also behind the scenes in a hot kitchen.Thank you so much!

The Yummy Noodle Bar is a lovely niche restaurant hidden in the Enterprise Centre behind the station. They specialise in stir fry noodle and rice dishes, all freshly prepared. The food is delicious, the staff are friendly and it's reasonably priced. Great for a light lunch. Highly recommended.

I loved the customer service from the moment I booked the restaurant. The person on the phone was so friendly and polite. We had set menu 2. It was amazing. So many different dishes and all home made. All of the staff made us feel special for the whole evening and were so friendly and smiling all the time. This restaurant is amazing and I can understand why customers go back time and time again. Well done, team!

This is a fairly conventional Thai restaurant serving good but not innovative food. The menu selection will be quite familiar to Thai food lovers. The dining rooms themselves are set on an historic village green with views through large windows. The rooms are small and there is little privacy between tables. Staff are very friendly and the service is timely. It is very reasonably priced with our dinner for three costing £62 without service. If you are walking or passing through this beautiful village it is good place to eat.
