The service was excellent, no issues there.The food is very expensive for what it is, it's average at best.All the food was very salty and you have to pay extra for basic things like a side of veg which for the price you're paying is a bit of p*** take to be honest. Mediocre and overpriced fare. Pleasant servers. But, from here you can see Pollo Tropical (see review); 1/2 the price and 2-3x the quality. You do the math.Strategy: Come for happy hour(4-8pm daily, BOGO drinks), then walk across the parking lot for Tropichops.Thanks Ken for taking your time writing a review! I would like to know what did you order to see if we can improved someway. Not sure why you refer as overpriced place since we have plates starting at $6.95 and lunch specials starting at $9.95 including appetizer. Had a late lunch here on Sunday and would definitely return! We were a party of 10 but due to the late hour there was plenty of space available. Service was great - our waiter was very friendly and efficient. Wonderful milanesa and lomito sandwiches. The mollejas were very good as well. Everyone enjoyed their meal and went home full and happy. Definitely recommend.
