Cava Real is the main restaurant of the Sheraton Hotel in Colonia del Sacramento, Uruguay. Its chief José Luis utilizes the "Managing by Wandering Around" concept that allows him to know exactly what each of the restaurants guests think of the food and beverages served. This makes a difference, since Colonia is not reputed for its restaurants and food, much to the contrary, being these Ãtems the major weakness of the spot. The only Ãtem that deserves some attention from the Hotel Managaer, Florencia Arenaza is that children are allowed, and the parental supervisión of their behaviour is next to nil. A "Under 21 years of age not allowed" policy would make the world of a difference..

We didnât know where to eat here as we just took a day trip here from Buenos Aires. We stopped by here and my daughter got the Special of the Day which was ravioli, drink and dessert for 290 uruguay pesos. My husband and I shared a chivito for 2 (800 uruguay pesos with drink). It was absolutely delicious! You should try it!

We had dinner at this restaurant. The service was okay, but the food wasn't great. I ordered chicken milanesa (which I had to send back as it wasn't cooked through) with ensalada rusa, which was watery and obviously made with canned vegetables, not fresh. The meat and chorizo was a bit better. On the plus side, the cocktails were good and the house wine was drinkable. Overall, very average.

We had a mid day meal here yesterday while touring in Colonia. It is a tiny place on the outskirts of town. There were only locals in addition to us. No large tour groups can be accommodated. Our lunches were freshly prepared. The salad was particularly attractive and tasty. Good value, not expensive.

After walking about the heritage area, we needed not only a bite but also to get away from the high tourist zone. This place was the perfect spot. Service is slow, there are a lot of smiles and many happy groups of people who appear local residents. Perfect people watching while sipping delicious Uruguayan wine and enjoying local fare.Hello, thank you for visiting us in TÃpico Nuestro and evaluate us.Your comments help us to improve the proposal. We are waiting for you in another visit to UruguayWilde RaimondoSommeliers

We enjoyed sitting outside as we ate our lunch. The four of us had different platters of meat. The meat was a bit tough, with lots of fat, but there was plenty of it! Lots of dogs wandering around, but they were not begging at our table!

Marlo It is a faithful version of our customs, where the roast on the grill by our autochthonous woods become our favorite grilling menu people. The art we recognized is as essential as delicioso. We offer variety of meats and cuts carefully select chosen,
This place looks so nice from the outside. Open bbq blazing away in the corner, nice decor, decent looking menu. Don't be fooled. We looked at the menu and it had picanha, a favourite of mine, and tuna, a favourite of my wife. Once we sat down we were told that not only did they have neither, they also didn't have any sparkling wine (several on the menu) they had only one option for Malbec (despite there being LOADS of options on the menu). The recommended wine (i.e. the only Malbec the waiter said they had) was poor and very over-priced; the most expensive bottle I bought in a month in SA. The recommended steak was tough and overcooked, the fish had been cremated. After initially being all over us, the waiter hid in the corner once he'd served our food. I guess he knew how bad it was. I don't make a habit of writing 1 star reviews and it's nearly always possible to find something good to say about a restaurant. But this place is just awful.

Un poco de modernidad al Barrio Historico, una ventana a la historia, la otra al rio.Calzonis, Chivitos, Carnes, Pastas y Pizzas.
Restaurant with a pleasant location in front of the Rio de la Plata. We orderd pastas: spaghetti for me (good) and pizza for my girlfriend (she did'nt liked, too hard). Prices average and service OK.

Located in the countryside of Colonia del Sacramento, Las Liebres Restaurant Hotel combines gastronomy, architecture and nature. Offering its visitors a different experience and exceptional hospitality.
Just a 5 minute cab ride from the ferry terminal or city center, this restaurant will offer you something different than whatâs in the city. The food is the best. Organic, fresh produce from the grounds when combined with the regional seafood and meats (oh, and the bread!) make for a special meal. The setting is gorgeous. And the manager Guillermo assisted us with making the most of our short stay in town. The service was attentive and friendly. The inside of the restaurant is quaint and charming while the outside offers a beautiful setting.
