I was really looking forward to go there since weeks. But I regretted afterwards. The Samboussak were served cold, the Taboule was definitely not freshly made, the servings are in plastic dishes, the beer served was most probably not the brand proposed on the menu. The decor is dating and very dark inside. The service was good though. Conclusion: definitely not the best Lebanese in Basel.

Twice I had a very good experience of ordering a takeaway so I decided to order the same dish, "Chicken sector 17" again totally ignoring that this restaurant cost a fortune. Disappointed I was, the dish was totally different that what it was before, the chicken was supposed to be coated in batter but simple plain chicken pieces were served. It's very busy. Apart from having to share a table in order to get a seat we had a fabulous meal here. Chose set maze for 2 with meats @66CHF, it could easily have fed four. All around us people were taking doggie bags home. Service very good, food very good, price on a par for this country, over £100 including wine.Thank you for your evaluation :) There is always a lot going on in Za Zaa Petersgraben, so we recommend to book in advance.
