Located in the Pearl River Delta, Zhuhai borders Jiangmen to the northwest, Zhongshan to the north, and Macau to the south. Zhuhai was one of the original Special Economic Zones established in the 1980s. Zhuhai is also one of China's premier tourist destinations, being called the Chinese Riviera. While the city is located in the traditionally Cantonese-speaking region of Guangdong Province, a significant portion of population is now made up of Mandarin speaking economic migrants originally from inland provinces.

Was in Zhuhai for the weekend last week on a two day break from business in Shenzhen. Met up with old friends Nick C and MC at the London Lounge on Paddys Night.Very lively, great live band and good company. London Lounge has a great selection of beers and ciders and offers a nice variety of western food on the Menu.Would highly recommend to anyone wanting a fun night out in Zhuhai with a british pub atmosphere. Ordered a NewYork Striploin and Rib-Eye Steak to enjoy our dinner as well as celebrate BD memorable night. The main dishes were super delicious though weâve tried many times since it is opened. The presentation changed a bit, but we still miss dry bread for starter.Site dishes MOP188 with four choices are crazy promotion...., we even canât finish it. About half a dozen Aussies eating 1kg steaks......amazing. The place even let us stream an AFL match from our laptop. KFC in Zhuhai can provide the delicious finger-lickin' good Colonel Sanders chicken in both traditional and crunchy styles. The prices are competitive, and while they do offer chicken, the reader should note that a Chinese KFC has a different menu than an American KFC.First of all, the KFC offers mashed potatoes! That's the great news. As an expat, you have no idea how little things like eating some mashed potatoes can do as comfort food. Now for the bad news, the Chinese think that it is mashed to make it easy for a baby to eat. So the serving side is very small. Heck, I have seen free sample containers bigger than the container that they serve the mashed potatoes in.Ugh...More bad news. No coleslaw! I don't know what it is with China, but finding some coleslaw has been a trail that I have had to deal with for years. The few restaurants that carry it, often do not have it in stock.Ugh... No buttermilk biscuits. But you can get rice. Though, as an American expat, it's a bit of a let down.The Chinese staff, and the management makes sure that they select the best looking pieces when they serve you. The woman who got my chicken went though maybe eight pieces before she settled on a piece for me. The problem is that in the Chinese mind, the breast is the most undesirable piece of chicken, instead legs are considered to be most desirable. So to prevent this mistake of good-intentions from occurring to you, ask for chicken breast specifically. Say "Wo yao Ji xiong."You can buy a bucket of chicken. It won't have coleslaw and biscuits, but it will have other things, and it is a great value.They have a decent breakfast menu as well. I like their congee, though my Chinese wife doesn't. The breakfast sandwiches are ok.

To be honest, I donât like to eat street food before, because I always they are unhygienic. However, this takoyaki in Zhuhai Gongbei is quite different. First of all, we donât need to mind wether it is lawful operation, because it is multiple shop and its license is complete. Whatâs more, our customers can see their whole working process. Itâs very health and the cook are professional. We can easily find out they make takoyaki expertly. Last but not the least, the takoyaki is quite delicious and itâs cheap as well. Only 8yuan for six takoyaki. The first time I went Gongbei with my friends there, and she said thatâs great. But I donât want to try that because I never buy these food before. Then she gave me one and I found out thatâs quite great not only because of the ball but also the burdening! I bought one box of it immediately. After that, everytime I went to Gongbei even I pass by there, I bound to buy it. Also, I recommend my classmates and friends to try it. At the end, they all full in love with takoyaki! This shop is next to the Mcdonaldâs, and itâs easy to find. But because itâs very popular, you can book it before or youâll wait for a long time.
