Steak 'n Shake, a classic American brand, was founded in 1934 in Normal, Illinois by Gus Belt who pioneered the concept of premium burgers and milkshakes. For over 85 years, the company's name has been symbolic of its heritage. The word "steak" stood for
We stopped after church for some lunch, after waiting a few minutes to be seated we finally got a seat but no menus. They were short staffed so I understood it would take a little longer. After waiting 10 minutes and still no menus we observed 2 couples that came in after us get waited on. One of the waitresses mentioned to the other that we still had no menus but they both continued to do other things, after being there over 15inited and no service we left. Very disappointed

I am an Italian citizen (Caserta) and lived in the North East for years.. They could do SOOO much here with making it a real Italian Deli and offer more hot and cold dishes. They have a couple of cold pasta dishes and a couple of potato dishes and just typical sandwiches.. Bread is good but the feel here is its more american and a bread shop pushing cold cuts.. The salad which is all pre made like an airport was all Iceberg lettuce.. A sign of Cheap ingredients. The lady at the counter was an older woman who seemed like she had been there for 50 years and was just not a happy person.. So much potential.........Sad..

Passing through, and plesently surprised. Cute little old diner, aka Denny's, loved the building. Food was tasty, but not stellar; good service. I am not a regular Denny's customer due to bad past experiences, so was overall happy. Very clean bathroom!! Good option for this exit if avoiding fast food.

This place has been here for 44 years and is still going strong! They have a very big âafter workâ crowd for cocktails and dinner. So get there early if you want to have dinner...thereâs limited seating. Great menu! I ordered chicken piccata which came with a salad and I chose fresh steamed spinach with garlic (I couldâve used more garlic!) as my side. It was delicious! My cousin ordered their chicken Marsala with mushrooms! It was also very good! We shared a homemade pecan ice cream ball served with hot fudge sauce...which was very good (but mine are better!)! We each had a cocktail ...reasonably priced! Atmosphere is conducive for socializing...nice intimate spaces! If youâre coming through Zanesville donât miss this gem!

Canât even give it an average. Ordered fajitas and took forever. Then the bowl with cheese, lettuce, salsa, sour cream and guacamole had been sitting somewhere for awhile. Guacamole was brown and gross. Cheese had a crust on it and the lettuce was soggy. Come on! Only thing this place has going for it is the bar but they barely have any decent beer on tap.

Small cafe with limited parking. We have a great breakfast menu and some paninis, wraps, and subs. We also serve great coffee and specialty drinks and brews. Everyone welcome!
Excellent breakfast with homemade baked goods. We had a variety of egg, sausage and bacon dishes and a coffee cake muffin for the table. The food was fresh with excellent toasted homemade bread served with a smile. They also have a good selection of lattes. We would definitely go back.

Cozy, rustic dining with outside seating available in summer. Lunch and dinner specials daily.
Stopped for dinner based on previous reviews. Party of four with no reservations and were seated immediately upon arrival. Good selection of food. Each of the four orders were served promptly. Nothing extraordinary. Just average. Satisfied, but will probably try another place if we are back in the area.
