I've avoided this adorable place in the heart of Downtown Woodstock because their menu prices are higher than I normally am able to spend. Finally got a chance to eat here. I got the salmon salad with their incredible lemon vinegarette. Wow. Very yummy. They cooked the salmon wonderfully. Flaky and not dry. Love the look of a train car inside and the staff was very friendly. I would eat here again for sure. I chose this because IPPS has nearly failed so many inspections in the past couple of years. I figured I'd try a salad here today instead. (Not that I don't still love IPPS. :) ) The restaurant doesn't have it's own parking lot but you can find parking in various lots in town for free.

Good lunch options and valueWe had a weekday lunch and were very pleased. We got off to a slow start with seating as the two wait staff seemed overwhelmed with a less-than-crowded restaurant. However, from that point forward, everything was great. Service was attentive, food came quickly, everything as ordered and large portions. We both had pulled pork, which was wonderfully smoked, moist and tasty. Our sides of beans included pork as well, which added to the flavors. My fried okra was hot, crisp and fresh from the fryer -- no heat lamp. We departed filled and with a left-over carry-out of about four ounces of pork.Since we're out this way periodically, we'll certainly be back

Hot July day to visit this place, where it was kool inside! Impressive selections of beers and a rotating variety of Food Trucks. A different way to have a relaxed lunch or dinner if their rotation strikes your fancy. Definitely recommend, check the website of FB page for the "food of the day".

Charming Downtown Woodstock location They donât take Reservations. But you can call up to 30 minutes before arrival. Which is good because it may take that long to find a parking space, as they are few & far between in Downtown Woodstock.Kids had Pancakes. Wife had BELT(E for egg). I had Blueberry Crunchcake (blueberry pancakes with granola cooked in). Our Server was great, taking time to engage with the Kids, but still getting the job done on a busy day. Food was all delicious and well prepared, wait was shorter than expected in packed restaurant.

We were thrilled to get reservations the night of a big concert (most restaurants in Woodstock do not accept reservations.) When we arrived they were packed out the door. Yet we were promptly seated at our table for 6. Prices are reasonable and the food selection has something for everyone (we had a non-seafood eating person in our group.) Everyone loved their meal, from the lobster boil, the scallops, the shrimp and grits to the burger. He said it was the best burger. If it was that good on a super crowded night any night would be great! We will be back again. Thank you.

This is my second visit here. My first was just pleasant but we returned anyway. To start our waitress had an attitude which continued throughout the entire meal. Everything we asked her seemed like we were bothering her. Even when we were completely out of both water and tea. The food, which was average before, continues to be average or below. This time the croissant which we all had as part of our sandwich was stale. The baked good, even though tasted fresh, they were no better than an Entenmann's pastry. This was a girls family event and we were in no rush and by the time we were done they had tables open but the waitress started clearing our table to rush us out. Then to top it all off because we are a party of 6 they automatically at 20% tip. We will not be back and I suggest you do not try this place. Others out there will show you they want your business. This place does not.

Salt Factory Pub is an upscale Gastro Pub that offers modern and approachable cuisine with an unbeatable beer, wine and bourbon list.
We ate at Salt twice -- two consecutive days at lunch. The food was excellent both times. The appetizers make great small plates but our waitress the first day told us they could be doubled to make them an entree! The first day we went with our son and sampled the butternut squash ravioli which was decadently rich, and the crispy shrimp which was just spicy enough. The Shepherd's Pie was hot, with tender lamb and vegetables but more potatoes on top than I liked (very tasty potatoes but just my preference). The second day we went with the appetizers and really enjoyed the Louisiana egg rolls and ordered the Crispy Shrimp for the second time. The menu has so many great sounding meals we had difficulty choosing! We intend to go back next time we are in the area because the service was great, the ambience was relaxed, the food was hot and very well-prepared, and the beer selection was very good.

Full service restaurant serving locally sourced ingredients in a casual atmosphere. Indoor and outdoor seating available with a dining garden and open air porch. Live music outdoors during warmer months on Friday and Saturday evenings. Full wine, beer and
Went here on a Tuesday evening with my husband. There was no wait, and the service was good, not exceptional. My dinner was fabulous. I ordered the salmon. My husband ordered the pork chop and was disappointed. It was dry and not very tender. They're pretty expensive for not being outstanding in every way. I would go again for the salmon but I don't think I would be able to talk my husband into it.

Owned by ex military couple. Don't be fooled by exterior, comfortable inside - loaded with memorabilia from all branches. We had a couple different burgers (said were best in Woodstock - they were very good) and a BLT. With sides, had enough to take some home. Will return to try different burgers and look at more of memorabilia on the walls - some back to WW1.
