Come here often. Always can't wait for one of the favorites. I had the Winnsboro burger with rooster sauce, wife had the Ollie; shaved prime rib on toast with brown gravy, and friend had the Dijon sandwich. Most of us managed to complete the meal and ended up very full. My wife had the prime rib, which is a hefty amount, finished hers, as she said, it was so good, I couldn't stop. We get there early as the place fills near noon time and the line starts.

We visited the Barrel House on Friday night and worried there would be a wait but we hit it just right and got in immediately. We had friendly service right away also. My husband had the tilapia and I had the Philly Steak nachos. Both were ample servings and delicious.Their prices are very reasonable. Restaurant is right downtown in the Bowery section.

My wife and I were driving around looking for places to take pictures and realized we were in need of lunch. We happened to find Richie's and now are glad we did! From the moment we walked in we were warmly greeted and promptly seated. The decor was an mildly eclectic mix of all the things that make Texas unique. Not over the top, but fun. The food is a nice mix of Tex-Mex and comfort dishes. I had the Chicken Fried Steak, which can be a toss of the coin in some places, but here it was just the way I like it. Old fashioned, hand made and lots of good gravy! My wife had a burger, which was almost more than she could finish it was so big. This is a place we will return to the next time we are in the area.
Started out for local catfish. Loved the entire sports bar atmosphere, but so much more! Great food! Great beer...their craft beer on tap is awesome! Huge dance floor and super live band line up. Please check this place out. It's awesome. Everyone is so very friendly!
Curly Talmage (Curly T), a cutting horse trainer, was a tough old marine, hardened on Iwo Jima, and loved to eat the beef he helped Texas ranchers produce. This smoked brisket takes 4 days to prepare but, unlike Curly, is fabulously tender. Curly T's also
Had lunch Sunday at Curly T's (first visit) and was impressed at the innovative and reasonably priced menu. Hubby and I each had filet special with hot bread, spicy butter, large salad and two sides for $15 each. The filets were large and cooked as we requested (medium rare), served with BBQ sauce on the side; unfortunately, the meat was not very hot. Sides were creamed spinach, pinto beans and vanilla sweet potatoes, all delicious. Interesting location for this very popular restaurant.
