Made to order burgers, fries and onion rings. Good and inexpensive option while visiting the Big E. Itâs just outside the fairgrounds. Beef patties are thin, so go got the double meat for $4.95. Fries and Onion rings are nice and crispy. Solid but not quite as good as In N Out burger.

I tend to be stingy with my five star reviews. But the home made Corned Beef Hash here is worth the prize. The accompanying scrambled eggs and fried potatoes were very good, and the Rye toast respectable. The bottomless cup of coffee is good enough to drink black. Prices are reasonable and the service friendly and efficient. The place is clean and pleasant. The only quibble: get rid of the Sysco High Fructose Corn Syrup synthetic ketchup! For a place willing to offer real maple syrup at a small premium, they should be able to find a better ketchup.Thank you ulysses4!For taking the time to write a review AND for offering up a five star review! M husband and I went to The Federal tonight for our anniversary. Very disappointed. My husband had made a reservation and we were seated promptly on arrival at a table that was so small it couldnât hold the menus. But that wasnât the only issue. The noise level in the restaurant was ridiculous. So much for romance. We actually moved to the bar where it was more quiet but we were ignored for the first five minutes despite having been sat by the hostess with menus. They apparently were switching menus tomorrow so there were items not available. Despite having told the person who turned out to be our waiter that our experience thus far had not been stellar he did nothing to rectify it. He was more attentive once we ordered but unfortunately it was not enough. The food itself was good but not sufficiently to offset the experience.

If you live in West Springfield, or the area, Memo's is already on your list, especially for breakfast. Weekends are very full and parking is a challenge. Week day mornings are less crazy. The service is outstanding with a seemingly never ending coffee pot. The menu is extensive and offers something for everyone. One note of caution, during my last visit my friend didn't read the title of the omelete section, Four Egg Omelets does mean Four Egg Omelets. They are wonderfully huge and delicious and can easily feed two. My two favorite items on the menu are the home fries and the off the bone ham. If this establishment were housed in a dining car instead of a brick and mortar building, it would be one of the best diners in the state. If you are seeking out the best local gem for breakfast in our area, go to Memo's!

A large very busy restaurant with a highly varied menu, good for families, couples and singles. Seating is in booths, high tops, tables and at the counter.My wife and I really enjoy going out for breakfast, particularly those places which offer local cuisine. Boy did this place deliver. My wife likes veggie omelets and theirs tops her list. Chocked full, about an inch thick, with veggies the omelet struggled to contain them. Besides the regular items they offer specials and one of the day's offerings was venison, yes, venison and eggs. The venison portion was huge!!, more than I have received when offered elsewhere for dinner. Accompanying the egg dishes are home fries, ask for them crispy, one portion wasn't, and your choice of both regular, white wheat, rye, English muffin etc. or gluten free toast, English muffin, etc. As a lover of biscuits and gravy I had a side of theirs; made with a spicy Italian sausage, the gravy takes on a reddish hue, the biscuits are light and fluffy and the taste is wonderful. Kudos to the owners for maintaining a place that serves delicious unique food in a fun and friendly atmosphere.Dear JHAllen,Wow! We are blushing! Some friends and I attended a small baby shower for a friend. The staff was very helpful with the arrangements and the afternoon of the shower was a great experience for all in attendance.We ordered off the menu. I enjoyed the Cal's chopped salad with mixed greens, garbanzo beans, carrots, cucumbers, red onions, avocado, cranberries, hard boiled egg and feta cheese with a generous grilled chicken. Everything was fresh and delicious. Loved the dressing.We will always keep Cal's on out list of places to visit.

Got to stop in here for quick eats. The burgers are all amazing as well as dogs and tenders. Reasonable priced and good kids meal prices. This is my favorite time when they have the burger tournament. Then top it all off with homemade ice cream which is best around!

BEST BBQ I (we) ever had.Called ahead b4 our Trip to Springfield MA.We were staying over to see Aerosmith in town.They told us to get there at 5 when they opened.They were not kidding. People were waiting outside.We got in, and was met with a smell of fresh popcorn. Great start!!!!Our server was awesome!! Super friendly, and she told us that we should pre-order the burnt ends appetizer as we order our meals, as they will be gone. We wanted something for our midnight snack in our room after the show. Apps: Hubby ordered a cup of gumbo. He loved it.I ordered the bourbon wings.They are to die for!For my meal, I ordered half rack of baby back ribs.OMG, they were meaty, tender, and fell off the bone, had to pick up with a fork.sides: honey slaw, baked beans, onion rings, corn bread. All were awesome.Everything was served hot.Hubby ordered the brisket and absolutely loved it. Said it was the best heâs had.Very tender.His sides: same as me, aside from onion rings, he got the Mac ân cheese.He wasnât super jazzed about that, not creamy, cheese enough to his liking.Did not dismiss his meal, he loved everything else.Note!!!!! The baked beans, alone are beyond amazing. I would definitely recommend these.Huge portions.
