Our waitress was THE BEST!!! She made the experience a wonderful one! The food here is always terrific and thank goodness, the wait is never a problem. I would recommend everything, especially the vegetable plate. Itâs a great deal and DELICIOUS! The salads are wonderful. The shrimp appetizer is perfect. This will be a frequent stop for our family. We were in Athens shopping and stopped in here as a recommendation from a friend. The deep fried bacon brussel sprouts were quite the change from the normal stove top, but quite tasty. The takedown tacos with tuna were exceptional as was the burger and mcrib. Décor is simple with light coming from a bulb in a mason jar. An extensive beverage list and many choices on the menu make for a good dining experience.

Worst food experience in a while. Ordered take out and it was a disaster from the beginning. Couldnât find my order even though I had already paid online for it. Took three people asking about my order and name over and over before anyone could find it. Guess I should have checked the order while I was there but didnât as it was crowded and the bags were tied. Got home and found out the order was wrong. No fries like I ordered, instead we had nachos and and the cup of cheese dip for them on the side was full of black hair. The wings tasted disgusting and had zero flavor. There was barely any sauce on them and they simply tasted like plain wings and grease. Threw the entire order in the trash and went somewhere else. Called back to let them know we had received part of someone elseâs order and the bartender was totally overwhelmed and had no idea what to say. Will not be going back. Do better for your other customers!

Award Winning Restaurant With A Strong Catering Branch As Well As A Line Of Nationally Available One-of-a-kind Southern Snacks
My daughter and I were traveling through Athens and were looking for a fun food experience. We happened upon this place and decided to try it based on some of the food descriptions. We made reservations (and I would advise this; it's small and fills up fast). We arrived early and loved the vibe of the place once we got inside. It has unusual offerings such as a squash salad--lettuce, feta cheese, and pecans with roasted butternut squash slices on the side. One of the appetizers was fried cheese curds with a sweet pepper sauce that was delicious. My daughter got cucumber/peach gazpacho that she said was delicious as well as an onion pie. We ended with an intriguing fig cheesecake/flan that was a perfect ending. Everything was obviously fresh and creatively blended. Bravo and we wish you much success!

We visited for lunch on a rainy Saturday. I restaurant is a converted country store, and is in the country. There is plenty of parking. The restaurant has one room with about a dozen tables. After ordering, the food is brought to the table. Menu items include pork, chicken, brisket and ribs. There are a variety of sides as well as stew and desserts. Food was served hot and tasted good. It was a nice drive. We will go back again.

We have visited the Pub on Main multiple times now for their lunch menu, and it is always excellent! The food is fresh and creative. Their salads are wonderful and dressings made in house. Excellent option for a quick and high quality lunch for a reasonable price!

Harry Bissets used to be our favorite Athens restaurant. We were so sad when it closed, and so delighted to find this restaurant, which is apparently owned by the former chef of that restaurant. We enjoyed carpetbagger steak for the first time in years and it was excellent! Thank you!The deviled eggs topped with fried oysters were also perfect.

We visited for lunch after church. The restaurant was nearly empty when we arrived at noon, but it filled quickly. We were seated immediately and our drinks were provided. Food took a little while to prepare, but we were provided some cheese covered potato chips to enjoy while waiting. The server was very attentive checking our drinks and the progress of our meal. The crabcake was large and tasty. The grilled pimento cheese, bacon and green tomato sandwich was also interesting although the pimento cheese was almost too spicy to enjoy. I probably won't order it again, but there are many other interesting items on the menu. We had not been to Chops for more than a year. The atmosphere was pleasant and quiet. We will go back again soon.
