Service and food were both good. I got the green chili burger (see photo) which was different than expected but very good. Definitely worth checking out.

Already listed as hotel (La Plaza Inn) but this is also a restaurant so it should be listed as both a hotel and a restaurant, or have a separate restaurant listing so that people who pass by and want a meal (like we did) also can find it.
The restaurant is in an older hotel. There are several dining areas and an outdoor area. The food is typical restaurant fare, not bad and not wonderful; however, for this area the prices are high! The service depends on your server, but when I was last in the dining area I was in a far corner and the service was very poor.

Passing through Walsenburg on our way home, we decided to get something to eat. We'd passed by Tina's several times on other trips. Decided to have a late lunch there.Tina's is an unassuming café. The inside had a number of chrome tables and chairs with a lunch counter off to one side. The walls are filled with small plaques with cute sayings. The TV is tuned to old time rock and roll videos. Cute place. The service was really nice. The servers were quite engaging and attentive. All we could ask for.The menu is regular ol' café food - breakfast fare (all day), burgers, some dinner dishes (even liver and onions - yuk!) and a specials board. On the board was a giant Philly Burger. Sounded interesting so my wife and I got one to share. We got fries with that (darn, I missed that we could have gotten onion rings). They split the burger and fries on two plates in the kitchen. Nice touch. The burger was big and tasty. The beef and 'Philly' part of the burger kinda got lost. But it was good. The fries were also good. Nice and crispy like we like them.Is worth a second visit.
BBQ Brisket and pulled pork, flatbread pizza, amazing fresh salads. Beer and Wine. Milkshakes. Backyard patio and we are Dog friendly.
We were driving from Texas to Colorado and looking for a healthy and interesting place to stop for lunch with our kids. We stumbled upon Daily Perks - saw the sign outside and "panini" and so glad we stopped! Had soup and salad and kids grilled cheese. The decor is fun and artsy and the food really good. I do think the soup was from a box, but pretty sure it's brand I use at home. The staff were all super friendly. It was a great place to stop along the drive and see a bit of Walsenberg. We hope it is still here the next time we drive through! Highly recommend.
Among the local diners in Walsenburg, TC's has the best green chile. Real good Huevos Rancheros Good portions, good prices, good people.
