We stopped here for lunch during a brief visit to the VA Beach area. We were surprised at how busy it was, which meant that it was also quite noisy inside (they should consider installing baffles to deaden the sound and enhance the dining experience). That said, the service was friendly and the food was excellent. I loved the grilled oyster melt on marbled rye...super-delicious!

Have been here several times, the last time being 9 months ago. When I arrived, the place was empty, unlike previous visits where all the tables were filled. I soon found out why. Although they serve a quality product, their prices have gotten ridiculous. I had a Hot Pastrami with swiss on rye, $22.98 and a coke, $2.99. The fare after tax, $2.99, and tip, $5.04, a whopping $34.00. That's right, $34.00 for a sandwich and soda. Who cares if it has one pound of meat. At that price it should have a pound of gold. And it doesn't even come with any sides. Heather was my server and provided a nice experience. But $34 for a sanwich? Come on folks. You're putting yourself out of business.

My husband and I visited over the weekend for our wedding anniversary. Although it was rainy and muggy, we didn’t mind the outdoor seating and our waitress did not miss a beat. She was polite and professional, which is very hard to find these days. Everything we tried off of the menu was delicious and that’s coming from someone who can be a picky eater at times. Even the pasta was very good at al dente, which made me VERY happy since that’s hard to come across in a world full of Italian restaurants with over cooked pasta. The drinks were also spot on. Thank you for making the best meals we’ve had in the history of our anniversaries! P.S. Our kids enjoyed the leftovers and they are picky eaters all of the time. Thanks for the great review! The Bee & The Biscuit is a small restaurant in an old home with a long (but WORTH IT) wait. No worries, while you wait you can partake in the outdoor minibar and try some of their signature cocktails. There is also a "gift shop" (tents in the driveway) where you can entertain yourself while waiting. I bought local coffee. They sell a bunch of local wares. Once seated, I had the COWBOY BENEDICT (homemade buttermilk biscuit layered with peppered tomato jam, apple cider bacon, poached eggs, smothered in savory sausage gravy) and it was absolutely delicious! I cannot wait to go back and I look forward to sharing this place with my family members who haven't been yet. The restaurant is clean, bright, and has fun decorations. Our waitress was excellent. It was an all around great dining experience. Thanks so much for that wonderful and informative review. We're so glad you enjoyed yourself and look forward to your return.

We went with our ladies' group for lunch at Becca. We ate in the sun-room which was very light and airy although mid-lunch it was very noisy with the high ceilings. Our service was very good and attentive for our group of 9--which can be a challenge at times, we know. Our meals were very good and we enjoyed our lunch out. One lady mentioned that her BLT had very crunch crust and therefor she could not finish it. My steak sandwich with fries was very tender and tasty. The salads looked fresh.Thank you so much for taking the time to leave us such a pleasant review! We are so pleased that you and your guests enjoyed your day out together. Found this restaurant while cruising Virginia Beach area on Halloween vacation. Located in a strip shopping center, very warm decor, welcoming friendly staff (costumed for the holiday). Extensive wine & beer selections (including self-serve taps for both), selected a pleasant Belgium blonde and ordered from the specials menu. Regular menu has many selections to suit virtually any taste. I chose the Better than Mama's Meatloaf. Server was appropriately attentive and the meal appeared in short order. Very tasty, nice blend of roasted vegetables accompanying the mashed potatoes. My wife was on a work trip, so I tagged along. On our last night in the area we wanted good seafood and a walk on the beach. Based on reviews, I picked Hot Tuna to eat - and it did not disappoint. We were greeted by Savannah, who put us in her favorite table by one of the fire pits. It was perfect. Then it got better. We were waited on by Bri. She was fun, cheerful, attentive and made us laugh. The food was excellent. We first had Mahi Tacos & Shrimp for appetizers.. Then we ordered the main course...Now, myy wife is VERY picky when it comes to seafood. She ordered the scallops and they were cooked perfectly, she loved the mushroom risotto as well. I had the Ahi tuna - again..perfectly done and they gave me a lot of wasabi. While we were eating, the drinks during happy hour helped my wife enjoy the outside after a long day at work. I would highly recommend this place to anyone.Wow, thank you so much for sharing your experience on TripAdvisor. We will be sure to pass along your comments to Savanah. Thank you patronage and we look forward to serving you again soon.
