Reviews on American food in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada. Victoria is a thriving city of heritage architecture and time-honored traditions like afternoon tea. With the ocean at its doorstep and wilderness in its backyard, it’s also a perfect place for outdoor enthusiasts. You can find everything from a world-class science and natural history museum to a blooming public park where peacocks roam freely, plus a range of unique shops, cafes and restaurants. Good tasting food. LOTS of it. Kind of greasy (not a healthy diner). The kind of place I would have relished when I was 30 (and there were lots of those in the restaurant), not so much in my 60s (not so many of us). I know it's part of their branding, but the purple building is an ugly scar on the landscape. Not a place where I'll return.Hi there! Thanks for your feedback and thanks for trying us out. Weâd love you to know we have something for everyone, including 1/2 orders or lighter fare such as soups and salads!Part of Floydâs is simply being âpink.â We know that the colour may not make itâs way into the hearts of everyone, but we hope it puts a smile on as many faces as possible:)Hope you reconsider and try us out again! We stopped by this place last week for lunch. This place is pretty much all burgers but they do it well. I had the bistro burger which had bacon, brie and an onion jam. Delicious. The rest of the table enjoyed their burgers as well. Service was good. The fries weren't all that hot so I docked a star. We'll be back.

This is a super quaint, quirky little place with great food! They have a wide variety of burger options along with salads and appetizers. The appetizers are a decent amount of food so be prepared with what you order after cuz they can be filling. We had the Mac n cheese sticks which were delightful. My husband enjoyed his burger and I really liked the honey mustard burger. The fries are perfectly cooked and SO delicious. Our waitress was very friendly and helpful and refilled our water with perfect timing. It was a great experience!

Located on the Arcade level of the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel & Suites Victoria, Bartholomew's has been a favourite spot for both locals and visitors alike since 1975. We offer a casual relaxed atmosphere, in an English-style setting, as well as a beautif
We were in Victoria for only a few short hours and wanted something other than a completely touristy place. We asked a hotel bell hop where the locals get a drink and he directed us to Bartholomew's. It was a great experience. We had good friendly service and enjoyed drinks on the outdoor patio. The beer selection is extensive and authentic. It seemed like the kind of comfortable pub that you'd want to hang out in! I wish we'd had more time.

We focus on exceptional customer experience through providing fresh fine food (international), a deep wine and spirits list, and exceptional cocktails. Knowledgeable service staff will impress and guide your experience. Often described as a 'hidden gem',
Somewhat hidden from the street, down a subway tiled hallway pull open the door to experience an Edison bulb lighted speakeasy. Craft cocktails locally sourced menu and friendly staff make Little Jumbo one of Victoriaâs Top 5. Easy walk from marina. Hosted party of 8 and all found entrees they loved (hard to do!)...Halibut to hamburger. Highly recommended.

Newly opened breakfast and lunch restaurant in Victoria, B.C.
I actually had a short wait in line . I ordered a recommended benny, but it was a small portion. It was good but not better than any other breakfast restaurant. In spite of the fact that I ordered my hashbrowns well done, they still came out looking like frozen patties for the microwave. They redid them but they were really greasy with no flavor.I would only go back if I was hungry and happened to find myself in that area with no other choices, but I sure wouldn't wait for a table for average food.

This is a must! The breakfast was delicious. The servers were very friendly. It was busy, but turnover was quick. The Oranges del Sol French toast was superb! Walls are covered in fun and brightly colored art.

We opened in 1984 and have been serving REAL FOOD at REAL PRICES ever since. We are a full service comfort diner serving breakfast and lunch.
Last week we made a trip to Victoria BC to meet up with some Aussie friends that were on a cruise ship and had a stop there. We searched for a place to go for lunch on Trip Advisor and saw that John's Place had some good reviews so we chose to go there. When we entered the restaurant I was a little sceptical at first as the guy that met us at the door was dressed in shorts, running shoes and was wearing a t-shirt. He welcomed us in and sat the four of us down. Everything from there on was first class in every way! The food was excellent. The service was beyond anything I would have expected from even a Michelin 5 star restaurant. I've never seen anything like it. All the staff went completely out of their way to make us feel welcome. It's was almost like we were celebrities. They brought us different things to taste to see if we wanted to order them. I've been on a diet lately and asked them to make me something off the menu. It wasn't an issue. They did so and the food was great. The door guy, Rodney, kept coming over to talk to us making sure everything was alright. I have to say he is one cool guy! So cool that when we left the restaurant some of his guests (must be regulars) hugged him before they left. How cool is that!? Our server was great (unfortunately I didn't get his name). When we were finished and leaving the restaurant Rodney was seeing us out and asked where we were from. I told him we lived up island. He said hold on and went to the kitchen. He came back with a loaf of home made bread that they serve at the restaurant and sent us home with it. Unbelievable! If you are visiting Victoria, BC this is a must go-to for lunch. You won't be sorry! We'll be back for sure.Rodney has been with us over 30 years and he is a Victoria treasure. Iâm so glad you enjoyed yourselves.
