If you get hungry travelling Vermont's Route 7 south from Burlington, Gilfeather's in Ferrisburgh is a great pit stop for delicatessen delights like fresh lobster rolls, great sandwiches and take-out items like lasagna or lamb chops for dinner later. I live locally and Gilfeather's and their sister deli, The Garden Market in Charlotte, are my favorite places when I feel like giving myself or my wife a treat. The owners, Rick and Nancy Benson, are very personable, talented and versatile chefs. This is no ordinary deli. They have a great selection of homemade pies, some European bakery items like my absolute favorite blueberry/almond frangipane and delicious takeout entrees. Gilfeather's also does catering and they are in high demand.Besides great, generous lobster rolls - a classic for New England - they offer excellent sandwiches like the Cubano and their new signature blueberry/bacon/Muenster sandwich. If you want something a little more middle of the road, try their meatloaf and their fresh apple pie. Rick tries to incorporate a lot of local Vermont ingredients into his selections when they are in season and his menu changes accordingly. And, yes, of course they have absolutely pure Vermont maple syrup. If you are looking for a great wine or craft beer to accompany your takeout lunch or dinner, they have this covered as well. I am getting a little more conservative about who I give five stars, but I have no hesitation for Gilfeather's. It is my local favorite.

This is a gem. Off route 7 south of Burlington, this unassuming place sits. When you enter behind in a screened octagonal outdoor room with fireplace for chilly evenings. There is a pond and garden -lovely. The menu has many choices and all look amazing. I had the pork loin with Isreali cous cous and dried cherries - delicate and perfectly cooked. My niece had the gazpacho with scallops and almonds - amazing, perfectly diced for texture but delicate. She had the ravioli which was also superb. The wine list is extensive and well designed.

Stopped by for some takeout BBQ on our way home from Burlington and was not disappointed. Nice people running the place, fast service and really tasty âQue. Prices are quite reasonable and thereâs plenty of sit down dining available, too. Give them a try when youâre in the area!

We really canât go wrong with any choice of restaurant in Vergennes but the newly reimagined VL is our new favorite for a date night. So glad we made the time to try it! The prix fixe menu is full of great options and with everything included itâs a good value too. We will be back soon!

This restaurant has its mailing address in Vergennes but is located at the junction of Routes 125 and 17 in Bridport near the Crown Point Bridge.
Expected the minimum at the small diner, but everything for our group of 12 motorcycle riders was very good. Had a tasty Chef salad and the Low carb plate. All plentiful & good. Lovely owner served us and most tables were busy for lunch. Would visit again.

Open May - October, the distinctive decor featuring rough-hewn beams, antique farm equipment, and walls covered in Basin Harbor nostalgia makes The Red Mill Restaurant a resort favorite. The renovated sawmill features the best fresh and local food ingredi
We came her for Lunch while we waited for our room to be ready at the Resort and we really enjoyed the lunch. We started with the cheddar stout soup, that was so good. My husband ordered a hamburger and I ordered the Lobster roll. The hamburger was great and the onion rings that came with it were fabulous, my lobster roll was ok, it was kinda bland, I've had much better. Service was great and everyone was very friendly. We're glad your lunch was enjoyable. We're sorry that your lobster roll was bland, and wish you had told your server. Thank you for coming in to dine.Sincerely,Pennie BeachFourth Generation Host

I really enjoy eating a meal here. The portions are just right. The beer is cold and the rotating taps make it interesting. I like mingling with locals in the well appointed bar.The wait staff is good at their jobs. The chef makes tasty food from many local sources.

Went south instead of north on a Friday after work and selected Antidote this time (instead of Park Squeeze). Menu choices are a bit more varied and flavor profiles a bit more complex. Welcomed promptly, seating preferences accommodated, and experienced wait staff attended to our beverage requests and ordering. Chef accommodated vegetarian preferences. Has both restaurant and pub seating.

Welcome to 3 Squares Café! We're serving up casual and creative cuisine three meals a day, seven days a week. Located in historic downtown Vergennes, we welcome you to bring the entire family and enjoy a meal in our eclectic, comfortable atmosphere. Noted
Every town should have a place like this--comfortable, reasonable, casual, and friendly. That's worth four stars, but when the menu is creative and constantly changing to reflect local produce that is, as Thomas Jefferson say, "ready to come to table" then a fifth star is warranted. For dessert, walk to the corner and get a maple creemee.

This is our âsteady Eddieâ for delicious dinners for any occasion or for when out of town guests visit. The menu is inventive but with something for everyone, wine and beer selections similarly please, and service is friendly without intruding on our time with family and friends.
