My husband and I first stopped here because the wait at another local restaurant was too long. We're hooked -I thought it would be decent bar food at best-I soon found out it was much more. The first time I got a delicious chicken cheesesteak and fries, while my husband opted for a dinner special-Salmon Chesapeake which included a salad AND two vegetables. He kept raving about it and I tried some it was great and a fantastic value. We always sit in the dining side and have never been bothered by any other patrons contrary to another reviewer. This is our go to place when we just want a good meal for a decent price and friendly service.

I visit this diner about 3-4 times a month. The food is good and the portions are large. The prices on the daily specials are very budget friendly. Most of the waitresses have been there for a while and are very pleasant and efficient. The management is very personable and quick to address and concerns or complaints. You have to try the tasty baked goods such as the enormous cakes and pies or pastries that are baked on-site daily. Visit the Empire Diner today. You will be glad that you did.

We've ordered many different foods from Keystone and have never been disappointed by any of it. They will take special orders; we don't/can't eat too much tomato sauce so we ask for pizzas with less sauce. This is the only place (except formerly Mario and Geno's Pizza, which no longer is in business) that consistently gets it right. Delicious, not greasy but cheesy. Would like to try their gourmet pizzas, but everyone else likes only plain. Their steak sandwiches are huge and loaded with meat that it ends up being a meal for 2 people. Chicken fingers, fries, breaded mushrooms are always hot and without the heavy oily taste. Good platters and seafood too. They also give free soda with purchases of $25 and offer coupons for pizzas and combo meals. Service has been good; orders have been accurate (with only one exception and even then they sent a driver to deliver the missing item). A great local establishment; hope they stay around for a long time.

Love their blueberry pancakes and strong coffee. I simply crave it at least once a month. Our favorite breakfast place in Havertown.

Made inaugural visit on a Sunday night, and we thought it would not be that busy since it was in Feb. We were wrong. Seems like the buzz we heard about Edgewood was true. Pleasantly seated, we were 2 couples having a nice night out. Was not too packed but did have more diners than we had thought, which was good. We brought 2 bottles of red, one was a Chateauneuf and other a California blend, both high end to pair with the food. Loved the hanging "wine" themed pictures so they clearly understand how to eat and pair with good wine, they get points for that. Came out with 4 nice wine glasses, not the cheap small ones but nice professional Bordeaux style glasses which fit perfectly to our needs. More points for that Edgewood. We had a Groupon special, we did not intend to have this, but one of the friends saw it online and we bought which included 2 apps to share, 4 salad options, one for each person, 4 entrees (off the main menu - but anything can be ordered) and 2 separate dessert medleys. Turned out this was a HUGE amount of food, which we of course very much enjoyed for a long time over the wine, but you don't have to do the Groupon unless you want to eat a lot. Not sure it's still even offered.Salads were very good, most had Caesar which they got right, one had a wedge which he loved. Bread was brought to us for dipping in the mussels with red sauce, heavy on the garlic which was perfect. We had cheese board as 2nd app mainly because we wanted to have something nice to go with our first bottle of wine. So far all good.Three of us ordered the menu veal chop, which was very generous in size and the fact that we could order this on the Groupon (Edgewood please keep this up, it's a real treat). Done perfectly chef rec, which was medium cooked. Tasted amazing. We finished with the trio of desserts, one a cheesecake, 2nd was tira misu and the 3rd was apple bread pudding with vanilla ice cream on top. See posted photos. Everything was superb. I would absolutely recommend this spot, tucked in a residential area in edge of the woods in Havertown (hence the name I guess....).A+ A keeper. Nicely done people.

Hymie's is a classic "New York style" delicatessen with excellent food and great service. The waitstaff is very attentive. I had a pastrami reuben which is as good as I have ever had and certainly the largest. My wife had a chicken livers sandwich which was equally excellent. The sandwiches both came without extras such as French fries but, who cares, there was plenty to eat. The place was fun, the food was great. It was well worth the visit.

Had a very nice lunch- tacos and beers - with a business associate. Service very good and staff friendly and accommodating. Tacos were crispy chicken- three on a board. I would order again! Lunch event was spoiled by an overzealous Havertown parking nazi who wrote me a ticket in an unmarked, no meter spot. Thanks Havertown..
