I will start with this, if you don't like smoking don't go here. But if you're like me and don't care or like to smoke when you eat this place is awesome. First of all this is a bar. However the food really is something this place should be proud of. It's so good that my co workers and I usually go here at least once a week for lunch. If you're in the area and you're looking For a great burger or great food go here.
My wife and I stopped in. My wife said years ago they had the best cutlets. My wife did get the cutlets and I had a cheesesteak and we had garlic wings for our appetizer. The food was very good the decor was outdated but it was ok cuz the food is really good. My wife and I will be stopping in again very soon.

In town for HS alumni activities ... suggested by friends. Lots of dinner customers, but they were able to accommodate 6 people on a Friday night w/o difficulty. Extensive menu ! Lots of good choices and quite reasonable. Generous portions. Good beer selection. A good place to come back to when back in town.

The red rose diner is under it's third owner ship. It opened in towarda, pa in 2003. It spent its previous life in stroudsburg, pa under the lackawanna trail diner and jerry's. If you search the red rose diner you can find lots of youtubes and articles ab
This 1927 diner was moved from Stroudsburg PA to Towanda in the 1990's after restoration in Lancaster where it came by its name. It is small, but charming, with many original features including old posted prices for yesteryear's offerings of such delicacies as lamb's tongues. Stop in the tiny restroom to see the stained glass. We drove by after lunch, so only stopped for coffee but were compelled by the recommended peanut butter pie, which, approaching cheesecake did not disappoint. Yummy! Prices were reasonable and our server was very personable, so this step back in time was a well worthwhile stop.

Passing through the area around lunch time, we stopped here because of info given about the quality and also plentiful parking (hauling a race trailer with an over-sized pick-up truck), That part was very easy! Server greeted us so pleasantly, and we found the space charming and comfortable (it is huge). Menu covers all the bases, and had we not been driving we might have enjoyed some of the ambitious beer listing and also a ton of wings. As it was, we enjoyed our meals immensely: open-faced pot roast sandwich with mashed potatoes and a patty melt with terrific fries were amazing. Had enough for late night snack. On our "Return To" list.

My wife and I typically eat at the RiverStone several times a year with family or just ourselves. The meals are good, not exceptional, but good. They have a separate lounge/bar with seating. The main dining room is cozy and warm feeling, especially the dry stack stone fireplace. They also have two or three separate rooms for private parties. The servers are pleasant and friendly.

Chris and the team at The Flying Cow created a delicious dinner for our event. Pork loin, green beans, broccoli salad, rolls, ice tea, lemonade and the most awesome cupcakes on the planet. Really, that frosting is the best. They delivered and staffed the dinner to make sure everything was right there for guests. Chris' flexibility in managing my pre-event panic was much appreciated. He was kind and accommodating!
