Nice assortment of dishes (seafood, pasta, beef and more). Prime rib was yummy (ask for horseradish). Shrimp scampi was very tasty though not quite the "typical" preparation-- it was creamier and perhaps not as much garlic. Linguini with clam sauce (white) was enjoyed greatly. Strip steak was nice. Bartender knows what he/she is doing... excellent dry manhattan and diet coke/rum/lime. Only challenge was that the waitress did not communicate her willingness to accommodate questions/concerns. For example, when one of our party told her that she couldn't eat gluten (ie. wheat + more) due to celiac disease... and we asked for the shrimp scampi ALONE (no pasta) and to have a baked potato on the side instead... the waitress said... but the scampi comes on pasta. I carefully explained that we understood that is how it NORMALLY comes but that typically the scampi is ladled on the pasta... so many times we had asked for JUST the scampi and a different side (ie potatoes), she seemed to get it. The waitress DID comply with everything we asked... but not with grace. Another example... we asked her which white wine by the glass was the driest and she said, "I don't drink wine so I don't know". No offer to ask the bartender or another staff member. We strongly suggested that when she put our drink order in, she could ask the bartender and bring us whichever they said was the driest. Very odd. Anyway, we did enjoy our dinner overall.

On a long drive from North Jersey to Burlington Vermont, this is where I stopped for lunch along the way. Everything around Lake George seemed to be closed for the season so when I saw Emerald's II, I pulled right in. (Menu said Emeralds II even though I've seen it listed as Emeralds). I sat at the bar and had Crab Bisque soup and mozzarella sticks. One of the owners, Mark, was the cook and the other owner is his wife, Erin who was the bartender. Nicest lady in the world. Place was empty but I think I was pretty early. More people came in as I was finishing up. My soup was delicious and my mozzarella sticks were great, too. Erin knew every single person that came into the place. It was that kind of vibe. Like small-town friendly, which I love. There was another guy sitting at the bar having lunch and he was friendly as well so overall it was a great experience for me, not knowing what to expect. (Isn't that the fun of it?)

Culinary offerings are a unique and delicious part of your Fort Ticonderoga experience! America's Fort Café features localvore dining in a cozy family setting. Savor fresh salads from Fort Ticonderoga's King's Garden and enjoy a wide variety of sandwiches
While the sandwich when arrived was okay, and two of the the three young gals behind the counter were friendly, the one hour wait was totally unnecessary. Only two people in the kitchen, and from my vantage point I could see how slowly the person making the sandwiches moved. I suggest the manager take the employees to an efficient kitchen for training. In addition one of the waitstaff when asked by a customer who much longer for their order, had a temper tantrum, she stormed away, went in the kitchen kicked and and threw items. The fact that there is a sign when you arrive " we cook to order and thank you for your patience" indicates this hour wait is acceptable. Just what to give a heads up for visitors. if you see more that a four people in the cafe you might want to look for other dining options.Thank you for your review. Our organization strives for excellence in all we do and we are disappointed your experience in our café did not reflect that. We are addressing your concerns with staff and hope that you will visit us again soon!

Too bad there are railroad tracks across the street but, if you block those outta your view it IS a nice view..! This must be a local favorite because the place was pretty busy for a Thursday night. Our waitress [the owner] was busy as a one armed paper hanger but, was VERY friendly.. This is a very "comfortable" place to eat. Casual but clean and it seems like they try to make you feel right at home. The food was very good. I actually wasn't expecting that, as this is a small town. I had the broiled Salmon and, had a generous portion of tasty fish. While I can't give this FIVE stars, It's as GOOD as it gets in Ticonderoga.!!

My wife and I ate at a number of restaurants in Ticonderoga and were appalled at the overall low quality of the ones we tried. The Burgoyne Grill was tied with the diner at the Fort as the best place in town. Most dishes we tried were o.k. For my first dinner, I ordered a steak medium-rare and it came medium-well with a luke warm baked potato. The steak went back to the kitchen and I got a new one which was somewhere between medium-well and medium with another luke warm potato. At that point I gave up and ate it. You probably do not want to order anything involving steak or baked potatoes. All other meals were o.k. Our first waitress (Amy???) was excellent.

To celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary, we contracted with Bodettes to deliver food to our rental cabin for our anniversary meal. We ordered two meats (beef brisket and chicken thighs) and three sides (baked beans, slaw and bacon/broccoli salad). The food was delivered hot and... WOW... was it delicious! All of our guests raved over the quality of the food... I was particularly pleased that the cost was VERY reasonable. Thank you, Bodettes for making our special day even more special.Keith & Pat Perry

Burleigh's Luncheonette is a 1950's themed restaurant located in the heart of historic downtown Ticonderoga, New York. Burleigh's will take you on a nostalgic trip back to the 1950's while you enjoy our delicious American style food as if it came from you
We chose to eat here for lunch prior to visiting Fort Ticonderoga. Given the level of high reviews we figured this would be the place to stop. We should have stopped elsewhere, anywhere. We arrived around 145 in the afternoon with a healthy number of people eating - normally a good sign in my eyes. Sitting down it took a bit to get anyone take a drink order. To get someone to actually take our order took abnormally long as well. But we sat and waited. We watched a gentleman next to us express particular displeasure on finally getting his food and leaving in a huff. And we waited. I watched the line of tickets build up by the cook area. Kids got restless, the wife began wondering how long this was going to take. But we waited still. Nothing moves fast at this place. The actually cooking area the cook was working off looked to be a little bigger then a large cake sheet pan. But there wasnât any drive to push these orders out. After an hour wait with no check in by any wait staff, our food finally arrived. Weâd have left earlier but by watching the cook we had determined our food was finally being worked on. Now reading the reviews here, the food was suppose to be top notch, particularly the praise for the Patti Melt which both my wife and I got in part because of those reviews. It was an average Melt, nothing particularly special and we both noticed, frankly unseasoned. I pitied the folks coming in as we left, because they were in for a wait. Hey Avarel! We are sorry to hear that you were not pleased with your experience. On your particular day of visit we were extremely busy and we were short staffed as one of our cooks was not there. However, I can assure you that we were in fact working as quickly as possible to get to everyone in the order they arrived. We have a very limited cooking space, yes a grill the size of a large sheet pan, which limits how much food we can cook at once. Again, we are sorry for your wait, but we hope you can understand given how busy the restaurant was. We are family owned and operated and work very hard to provide a great experience for everyone. Thank you for taking the time to provide us with your feedback, we appreciate it!

Libby's Bakery Cafe is an artisan bakery offering small batch quality made products. Claire and Katherine do all the baking and lunch sandwiches are made with house roasted meats. Located in historic Ticonderoga Libby's provides a comforting resting point
We ordered two lumberjack breakfast sandwiches and two hot coffees. The breakfast sandwiches included: 2 eggs cooked to order, choice of cheese and breakfast meat, hashbrowns, and choice of bread. The food was very well cooked and served hot. Finding such a good product at a reasonable price in the small town of Ticonderoga was a really pleasant surprise. The cafe was extremely clean, very well maintained, and the bathroom was the cleanest. Thanks very much for great food, service, and a very nice establishment.

We were doing Revolutionary War battlefield tours with relatives, and they recommended we stop here for lunch. I immediately loved the homey, local decor and ultra-friendly service. I don't even remember what exactly we ate--it disappeared so quickly....Before you leave, see the back room because it's like a small local museum with artifacts concerning trapping and logging. Very interesting. One thing that somewhat disappointed us all a bit--they only serve their name sake biscuits for breakfast!Thank you for the wonderful review however, you are mistaken about the availability of biscuits. We sell biscuits all day long! , breakfast, lunch and dinner.
