Waffle Houses can be the best or worse place to eat. It depends on the people there. This Waffle House is the front runner - it is great! The service is fast, accurate, and FRIENDLY. Isn't it nice to start the day off with a big smile from Taylor?!! Right off the bat, she brought that hot cup of coffee. Then she kept it full. In only a few minutes, she was serving our breakfast with two over-medium (not runny whites like some serve) cooked to perfection, with toast, hash-browns, and jelly. Oh, and the bacon was crisp and delicious. Yes, a wonderfully delicious breakfast. And the goodness of the food was surpassed only by the friendliness of the server - Taylor. Thanks!

We stopped here for breakfast on 6/28/17 and really enjoyed it. Prompt service with food quickly served, eggs over easy perfectly cooked and the grits had been salted while cooking which was wonderful and unfortunately not done very often. Great place to stop before sight seeing in Mobile.

They served soups, sandwiches, salads, and desserts. Very nice people and good food.
Hearty salad plates. I got the 3 salad plate with chicken salad, broccoli salad, & waldorf salad. Spouse got the shrimp salad, with broccoli salad, & waldorf salad. All very fresh, delicious, & filling. Also got the broccoli cheese soup & the minestrone soup. Price was decent, cafe clean, quiet, with nice view of courtyard. Staff friendly.

The service was terrible!! Of course when there's an automatic gratuity added to the bill, then there's no need in giving good service. Our drinks were not refilled, appetizers came out late, missing shrimp from my husband's plate. The restaurant was NOT completely full while we were there, and there seemed to be plenty of waitresses to go around, so lack of service cannot be blamed on being too busy. Food was good, but lots of local places have good food and great service!!

While riding from Dauphin Island to Mobile we found this place. It was in the middle of the afternoon so it wasn't busy. They had lunch specials so we all ordered something different. There were orders of fried catfish, fried shrimp, shrimp scampi, and a grilled shrimp wrap. There were sides of a salad, cole slaw, creamed spinach, fried okra, and seasoned fries. Everything was very good. So much leftover we also had to go boxes. The staff was very friendly and polite. We would definitely eat here again.

Our menu encompasses a great variety of original seafood and local favorites. Ranging from shrimp, fish, crab claws, and crawfish, we also provide po-boys, chicken, and sandwiches for land lovers. Don't forget about our specialty Roasted Red Pepper Bama S
Shrimp appetizer ok with some weird sauce. Cajun shrimp dinner marginal taste and over cooked. Grilled shrimp dinner was good. All you can eat popcorn shrimp very good and constant refills. Corn fritters were very good as were the hushpuppies. Shrimp slaw side dish was ok at best. The meal wasn't bad but not great either. Service was good and drinks topped off.$64.00 tab with tip for 4 people. *Note this review was completed without using ridiculious undiscriptive terms like OMG, awesome, yummy, to die for, do your self a favor, trust me, etc.. We don't care about your allergies or the need for gluten free food. Describe the food, service (or lack of) and provide details on the cost/copy of check and include pictures! No one cares about the waiter/waitress names or their abilities. They get changed like underwear and you don't get to pick one.

Looking forward to this. But it turned out awful. First brought a dirty glass to the table. Next, the vegetable had 90% pasta almost no vegetables and 2 small pics of meat. The shrimp and crab claws we're good, but the dish was loaded with french fries. When we complained about the soup nothing was done. We will not be back!

Haven't been here in 25 years. I got a pork plate, wife said sandwich. Meat could be better, sauce is not an award winner as far as I know. Not from us anyway. Would be better if you had options on the table. Baked beans were OK, fried okra and onion rings were better than average. Server was very nice, bathrooms need a re-do. Parking looks to be just adequate.

Down home, large portions of good ole country cooking, just like ya mama used to make!
Mostly country home style food. With a touch of Mexican flair added to the menu. Affordable lunch specials on weekdays. With nightly upscale special meals added to the menu depending on night of the week. Great breakfasts also. You have to try their home made pies. Has always been very good and delicious food. Have been going there for years.
