We stopped for breakfast. Service was prompt...just the two of us...diner not crowded on Monday morning.Donât expect much for decor. This is a small diner in the country. The place is clean. Please do not misinterpret my meaning. Service was friendly. We enjoy eating in diners and this one did not disappoint.Access is easy off of I-5 which is great for travelers.The chicken fried steak breakfast was very good. It is not easy to find / happen upon good chicken fried steak. I love gravy on the hash browns so that was quite welcome.

Headed to Old 99 With the staff from the HS following our last day of teaching.Smaller venue, bar area, carpeted dining area. Pool table and TV's readily available. A very ecclectic variety of chicken, burgers, apps, and beverages. Service was great. Beer battered fries were phe-NOM NOM-inal. They were able to accomidate our large party (with the bus drivers coming in after us!).

Lots of different options Went for brunch, some had lunch, some had breakfast. Big portion on their scrambles, one person in our group said it needed more flavor. I had the the Capicola Grinder. If you like that type of meat, you will love it. Fries and onions were great. Directions - right on the main road in Tenino-597 and 99. Very good service, Ruth was pleasant.

The setting is great and the facility is updated and in very good shape. Two of us had the prime rib special and the meat was well prepared and very good flavor. My wife had fish and chips and they were excellent. The servings were ample and the veggies with dinner were fresh tasting and cooked perfectly. We had desert and that was a bit of a disappointment. I had chocolate cake and my wife had carrot cake. The servings were large, but the cake was extremely dry-- both of them. Found out that the restaurant doesn't bake the cakes, but purchases them from an off site bakery. One of our group had a made on site brownie with ice cream and it was delicious. I suggest they find a new source for their cakes as they don't reflect the quality of the food they prepare on site. I would definitely go there again just not have desert.

We stopped here for lunch on our way from a cruise in Seattle to Springfield, OR.The atmosphere was nice. The staff was very kind and very prompt. The restaurant was clean (the bathrooms needed attention - but I do not think they belong to the restaurant). The food came quickly and was a very big portion!We each had the hamburger with avocado on it. They were very good!So, if you are passing through and, like us, you don't like eating at chain restaurants - I would definitely recommend this place.
