The food was tasty and typical bistro food. The first time we visited right after opening for dinner, the food was delicious. When I returned for lunch the service was slow, the atmosphere was less noisy, but the sandwiches were average tasting.

Shawn's Irish Tavern looks a lot like most Irish taverns in Toledo. It's a sports bar with Irish beer signs on the wall. The connection to Irish cuisine is negligible and Shawn's is no exception. The good news is, the mostly Italian menu is very well executed. Calzones on the lunch specials are a real value and come with a FREE cup of soup. More good news, the soups are made fresh daily and they are excellent. Wednesday's chicken taco is a real treat. Pizzas are above average and are crafted with quality ingredients. When they're busy, they rush cooking times so ask for your pizza to be cooked well done.Service is very good as well. In for lunch? Ask for Matthew.Give them a try. You won't be disappointed.

Average food, on the greasy side. The service was not great, and the place was not busy. Left a tip, and waitress, never added it to her tab, when she processed the tab. She was inattentive and never checked on us. Not impressed with the food. Place is older and has some character. Time for a new menu, and new waitstaff, and moderate update.

Very nice, lively atmosphere. Loved the kale salad with chicken. The server was very nice and friendly. Lots of drink options: beers or mixed drinks. If it's nice enough, sit on the patio! Check this place out in Sylvania! FYI: You'll have to find street parking or park in one of the free lots and walk over, which is not far.

Sit down casual atmosphere. Sandwich, soups and salads. Farm to Table, scratch made
This is a great but small farm to table cafe! Finding room for dinner is rarely a problem but the word is out for lunch so arrive early.I enjoyed the Impossible burger and absolutely loved it. Being plant based, this was a perfect option for me. Service is friendly and this little gem buzzes for lunch. Please make this a dining destination.

I ate here for lunch a couple of years ago and really liked it. So I brought a friend last Sunday for brunch, and it was nice enough to eat outside. We ordered an egg dish each, but we ate our pastry first and then we were essentially done! She had a cinnamon roll, and I had a berry muffin. Each warmed up. Ummm, excellent! But we were full. I ate most of my scrambled egg and ham sandwich, which was good, but she just couldnât finish her egg flatbread item. We will have to go back and try again!

An old-fashioned supper club of a bygone area, and the quality is usually fairly consistent regarding the seafood itself. Many of the seafood entrees are prepared fried, but you have the option of broiled as well. I wish there were more healthy seasoning options. I recommend the Tiger Shrimp scampi style. Beware of side salads that come with dinners â they are served in a large bowl and are approximately 2-3 servings. It is just prepackaged salad mix with some beets on top, and it can fill you completely. French fries are just generic frozen type, no flavor. I usually order the home fries, but during my last visit, they were drenched in so much oil that I had a mild bellyache later. Side dishes could use better preparation and more attentiveness to the homemade factor, to better complement the dishes. The restaurant can be very crowded during dinner hours on weekends, and the waiting space near the hostess station is very small and narrow.

Located in the heart of historical Downtown Sylvania, in Toledo, Ohio, Element 112 and Next Door offer two different dining experiences, each carefully crafted with outstanding service, comfortable ambiance, and exceptional cuisine. Executive Chef Chris N
Right next to Element 112 is the new addition: âNext Doorâ, which offers the same outstanding service and wonderfully creative and tasty cuisine, but in a more casual & comfortable environment. Our foodie friends were impressed and all agreed to return soon. We enjoyed specialty craft cocktails with 1/2 off Wednesday wine specials. For dinner we had Wedge Salads, Lake Superior Whitefish and Arugula Linguini with crispy Brussel Sprouts. Dessert was a scrumptious Warm Brownie Sundae and a delightful Creme Brûlée. Various daily specials include a Tasting Menu, unique Sandwiches, & Thursday Oysters. Next Door offers a gourmet experience that far exceeds your local chain restaurant at a reasonable price in a comfortable, casual environment that is perfect for a date night, a no-cooking night, a special celebration or a convivial dinner with friends and/or family.
