In Manhattan in 1965, there was no place where people could go out to meet friends and make new ones in an environment that was at once both relaxed and yet exciting. Then, Alan Stillman opened Fridays as a way, he said, "to meet Pan Am stewardesses." Sud
We came in at about 3:30 on a Thursday and the place was pretty empty. I chose TGIF for the Endless Apps promotion that they have advertised on the TGIF website. They are no longer a participating restaurant. So instead I got the Buffalo Wingman's Burger they are advertising on tv. The taste was good but it got greasy, soggy, and messy. It came with two buffalo wings attached by a tooth pick sticking through them into the burger. Cute idea but the wing sauce made the top bun messy; the wings were scrawny and a little dried out. Fries were good. $13 was too much IMO for this meal. Our waitress was nice and friendly but the service could improve. When she brought out our 3 waters she spilled some of it on the table; no problem but she never cleaned it up. Also, there were no utensils at our table when we were seated and had to ask for them after our food was brought out. The floors in the bathroom were sticky. There are plenty of restaurants in the area and I would try Fuddrucker's next time.

Great local pub, with food far above standard "pub fare". The Guinness was top shelf, as was the food, the locals at the bar, the bartender and the guy playing guitar. So glad I visited this place.
This American Heroes Smokehouse used to be called the Red White & Que Smokehouse. They changed the name and the menu format but kept the same interior. Weâve eaten at the American Heroes Smokehouse on Route 22 before so we decided to try the BBQ Ribs here. My wife and I shared a Half Rack (Six Ribs) which was plenty for lunch. The Ribs were succulent, meaty, and had a good bite to them. The best part is they honor Veterans by giving them a 20% discount.
Dinner is always ready. Boston Market is the rotisserie expert, serving the kind of meals that help mom draw everyone to the table. From our fresh, never-frozen whole rotisserie chicken to our fresh-baked cornbread and wide variety of family-favorite side
We ate lunch with friends at Boston Market. Before this, I'd only been here once to pick up some supper with relatives, so I didn't know what we were getting ourselves into and was pleasantly surprised. The atmosphere was laid back while being very professional. The staff waited patiently while we decided on our meal and sides; when we decided they were quick to serve us. The only negative about ordering was that when one side ran out, it took them several minutes to bring out another pan to replace the empty one. The servers also worked as a team; you could tell they liked each other and weren't too competitive. The food itself was delicious - I highly recommend the mashed potatoes with bacon bits in it. I also found the cornbread tasty (though not for those who dislike yellow cake), and the stuffing was better than what is found in most restaurants. The apples were also good, though a bit sweet for my taste. The chicken was moist, nicely cooked, and delicious. The dining atmosphere was fairly laid back without being fast-food-like. We ate slowly, even staying a short while after we'd finished, and no one seemed to mind. The other diners were friendly, but not so much as to be annoying. The restaurant and restrooms were both fresh and clean. As the finishing nice touch, the staff cheerfully refilled our drinks (free refills) even though they knew we were on our way out the door. If I'm ever in need of a restaurant in the area again, I'll definitely come back.

Usually we eat early at about 5pm and we have never had to wait for a table. This particular Friday night we got there 4:45pm and we were told we would have to wait it turned out about ten minutes. Two other groups were also waiting. It was not a big deal but the issue was their staff was just coming in at that time, seems like poor planning especially for a Friday evening. When we were first seated on the right section we were the only customers there.By the time we left the restaurant was very full.Anyway THE FOOD, very good as usual, the waiter was great very responsive and in a good mood.Said he loves working there. The food was prepared perfectly, I opted for something fairly spicey, the Yucatan shrimp and tilapia over rice.Very large shrimps and a nice portion of tilapia, it was in the medium to hot range.Very good.My wife had the Walts pick 2 from the regular menu.Everything was good.

This is pretty much the only game in town, in terms of general-interest dining, and they know it ... that is, there's no real incentive to provide outstanding food or service ... my medium-rare steak came well done ... my wife's seafood cioppino came in a thick marinara sauce ... nothing particularly wrong with that, I guess, but why call it cioppino if you're serving marinara? My mother-in-law ordered a cup of Manhattan clam chowder and got a giant bowl of New England clam chowder ... nobody had the time or inclination to care about any of this when it was brought to their attention ... our waitress was nice enough, but overwhelmed (as were most of the other wait staff) -- all the rooms are VERY VERY LOUD ... eat outside if you can ... if you must eat here at all ...

This is a great neighborhood place to relax and enjoy good old fashioned breakfast and lunch. Friendly and competent staff complete the feeling that you are a part of yesteryear. The breakfast offerings are varied and portions are generous and well priced. Don't miss the geometries, they are better than any diner.

When my daughter announced she was getting married to a wonderful man, as we helped them make planes, she said she wanted the Rox to cater the meal. Having grown up in Roxbury, she ate many meals not only with us but with her friends as they attended high schoolThe experience couldn't have been better. They took our budget and came up with a plan that covered both the omnivores and the vegetarians On the day of the wedding, the food was delivered and set up and went off without a hitch (expect we ran out of little potatoes)When the food can make or break a reception, the Rox came through and made a great day, a wonderful daySo glad you enjoyed everything!

We stopped by in the middle of the afternoon today for lunch. We each had a medium chicken soup with rice and an organic bottled tea, and we split a Cuban sandwich. The sandwich was tasty, the soup was good with lots of chicken and I'd especially note that the soup was not overly salted the way most establishments serve it. I forgot to ask if the rice was whole grain. The bread with the soup was very good, and the bread on the sandwich (which may have been the same) was toasted and excellent. The total price was a little more than we expected, but we didn't see an itemized bill to figure out why we were surprised.
