19th Pub

Management have an amazing staff in the 19th Pub, where you can get lunch, dinner or just drinks any day! All the staff are incredibly friendly and knowledgeable and we look forward to seeing them all again soon! The gourmet burgers are off-the-hook, but be sure to try everything, it's all good. Even the chicken cobb salad goes beyond your expectations to take such a simple dish to a new level. The chef's proprietary applepie moonshine-based barbecue sauce is so good it should be illegal (heck, it probably IS in some states). I wish they would consider bottling and selling it; I'd never grill with anything else ever again.

This is a little take-out place along the side of the road in Patrick Springs, not far from Stuart. It's a cute little place with a nice covered area where you can put in your order and wait for it to be done. They don't have any tables or facilities for eating there - it's strictly take-out, but it's really good and really popular with the locals. I love their burgers. They are my favorite and have this great smell that permeates everything. If you are passing through and think it looks interesting, be reassured - it's really good.

Elements Restaurant at Primland

We recently had brunch on our way out of Primland. I think they generally do a continental/dessert buffet with an ordered entree for brunch;however, the reservations were so few that they did everything via buffet. The food was very good although I think I'd prefer the other format. Service was great.

I was in town for a marching band competition and decided to stop here on the way out of town to use the restroom and grab a quick bite to eat for the trip home. Huge mistake!! I have never seen a filthier restaurant in my life. The dining room floors were disgusting and looked like they hadn't been mopped or swept for days. The counters were filthy, the area behind the cash registers was dirty and cluttered. The employees were goofing off and the manager was less than plugged in. I saw four employees doing absolutely nothing while I was there. Hello, people, how about you pick up a rag and wipe something off!! At any rate, STAY AWAY!! It's GROSS!

Stuart Family Restaurant

Just a bit off Route 58 (The Crooked Road), bluegrass, wine and apple country. Easy to find, easy to park in their own lot. This restaurant has numerous 2-4-and 6-top tables, some booths, plus a lunch counter with pivoting stools. The menu is packed with comfort food and there are daily specials posted on a chalk board. Flounder and Catfish are very popular because the serving size is nice and the fish is perfect. There are children's menu items as well as senior portions. Note that "full size" is four flounder filets ($7.99) and "senior serving" is three flounder filets ($6.99). Two of us ordered Chicken Fried Steak, which has a tasty breading crust and generous amount of tasty creamy white gravy. Lunches come with three sides. The list of sides must have 15 items including home-style pinto beans, which were tasty and excellent. The server (Logan) was friendly, personable and warm. She stopped by frequently to check on our wants and needs. In a time with some restaurants are selling sweet tea for $3 a glass (highway robbery), it was about ninety cents per glass here, with free refills and offer of "go-cup". This place is a local favorite gathering spot with lots of smiling faces and vigorous friendly chats going on. Four of us ate lunch for $40 and walked out happy and full.
