I was a little wary of the prices but it was our anniversary so we wanted to splurage. My partner got the seafood stew. There was so much seafood it he couldn't finish it and had to take some home. It was more than worth the price. The cheese board was a great way to start the meal. The real reason our experience was good was our server. I cannot remember her name but she was considerate and made sure our waters doesn't go empty. She was attentive without hovering and she was great at reading when we were ready for our next course. Total We had a cheese board 5 alcoholic drink two main courses and split a dessert and out bill came out to 90$ plus a 20% tip. Well either a wonderful 5th anniversary.

While on a house-hunting trip, we needed a quick lunch bite and stopped in the small downtown to try the Morningstar, Walked into this pleasant little bistro style cafe and spotted a tidy salad bar and the delightful looking pastries in the case at the ordering station. Decided to try a Pastrami Sandwich, with the wife ordering the Sourdough Turkey. Grabbed a table up front to watch the passersby, and wound up overhearing a Sister Wives table interviewing a prospective new poly-wife next to us. That was some captivating entertainment before the sandwiches arrived! And quite good sandwiches they were......the sourdough bread was superb on both.....and my pastrami was hot, cheesy and dressed perfectly with a raspberry chipotle sauce. Fun atmosphere, good sandwiches and fine service. If we wind up living nearby, Morningstar will be a regular haunt for us.......the pastries are calling my name........

Best Breakfast Buffet in the Bitterroot Valley since 1993. Family owned and operated. Good homestyle cooking that everyone loves.
Look, you aren't gonna get and shouldn't expect gourmet food, 5 star service or fancy surrounds in a small town diner eatery. What you should expect is tasty comfort food in a relaxed atmosphere served with a smile amongst friendly locals. And that's exactly what you get at Frontier. The cheeseburger was just fine. The country hamburger steak and gravy was very good. The beef stew soup of the day was a real gem - not yesterday's leftovers but real chuck chunks and fresh cooked veggies in a flavorful broth. The two of us had a hearty lunch for about $18, perused the local mags, observed the chapped and booted cowboys and overheard the neighborhood gossip. Our first taste of small town Montana.....very enjoyable indeed.

New resident to Stevensville, trying out the dozen or so eateries in town. I took an immediate liking to CJs, as the friendly barkeep and casino hostess warmed up to me right away. My first meal try was a full breakfast....the eggs were perfectly over-easy, the sausage was grade A, and the hashbrowns perfectly grilled. The banter was delightful. Wandered back in in the evening to try some video gaming. The charming hostess kept my complimentary (and tall) gin & tonics refreshed and seemed tickled at my measly $1 tip per drink (didn't see anyone else tipping!). I'll be returning, and likely be a regular based on the early returns from my initial visits. Great first impression, CJs Den!
