Pretty simply to sum up Ziggys: absolutely fantastic decor to sit around, nice prompt staff, terribly average food. I am by no means a food snob: often it takes a lot to impress me but not a lot to basically satisfy me, so I was surprised by just how bland the food was here: I ordered a steak with prawns: prawns that were just simple cooked prawns you could get out of lidl or aldi: no effort given to seasoning. Ditto with the steak, which was a nice enough cut of meat but lacked any real effort at all put in to giving it a just slightly extra taste kick: no seasoning: just an average, if slightly tasty hunk of meat cooked and served. Not awful, but for the money not so great really. My friend had fajitas which were of similar quality: decent enough ingredients, just nothing much done beyond incredibly basic cooking techniques and INCREDIBLY basic flavourings to lift the food. You might argue that's not necessary or expected in a place like this, but you don't have to be haute cuisine to give your food more flavour than was applied to the food me and my friend were given here. Not to sound cruel or mean spirited but the food was cooked in such a way that made me think the chef had graduated from a little chef.... if they were still around.Wow, how do I respond to this, So from what I can see from reading between the lines of your little novel is that our ingredients are good, well I would hope so as all our meat is delivered fresh every day from the same butcher for over 36 years that we have been trading, all our steaks are hand cut by our chefs to order (we are the only restaurant in town that does this, all other places use pre cut) if you want a 6oz or 60oz itâs no problem, no we donât season our steaks, they are cut, cooked on the char grill to your liking and then served (most adults are able to add salt and pepper themselves) you have a choice of fajitas mild or spicy and as these are one of our biggest sellers will we change them, absolutely not, when we have customers from all over the world saying the complete opposite to you. As for your little chef comment this made me laugh out loud (I do like a man who can make me laugh) unfortunately I have a phobia to glad you liked our decor and the staff but if you had mentioned to a member of these lovely girls about any of your issues on the night we could have sorted this out then and there and I wouldnât have sore fingers writing my own novel in return. So to cut a loooooooong story short, will I go by your recommendations or the 100âs of extremely happy customers we serve every week, I might have to confer with my other little chef chefs on this oneAnnie

We have been here several times, which have always been very good. However this most recent visit was the first time Iâve had a steak. All four of us who had steaks all agreed they were cooked to perfection, and exceptionally tasty.Lamb kebabs, fillet steaks, onion rings and Eton Mess, all fantastic.Only down side was a lack of bar staff for drinks whilst waiting outside for a table.Should be rated the best restaurant in St Andrews, if a little rustic.
Restaurant just newly taken over by new owners. Has a licenced bar and caters to all age ages of food likes. Freshly updated decor throughout. Tables can be booked. Enjoy a meal here or just a delicious homebake and coffee!
This restaurant, within the Craigtoun Meadows Holiday Park, is under new management and has been revamped with a bright, fresh and pleasant decor. Staff are attentive and helpful and make you very welcome on arrival. Menu has a reasonable choice and offers a good selection of food. Not fine dinning, but good choice of meals for the family to enjoy. Exactly what you need while on holiday. Also does carry out meals. âDoes what it says on the tinâ. Nice selection of wines and beers, all well priced and good coffee to finish. Very good facility on the holiday park and to be recommended. We wish them well in this new enterprise. Well done.
'Grab-N-Go offers Fresh Locally Sourced Great Quality Takeaway Food. Enjoy Stone Baked Pizzas, Delicious Burgers, Hot Dogs, Bubble Waffles, Glen Lyon Single Origin Filter Coffee, Ice Cream, Milk Shakes, Smoothies, Breakfast Rolls and More .........Why go
I was after a wee bite for lunch and dropped in @ Grab N Go not sure what to eat the staff offered me a recommendation, firstly the pizza then a burger with chicken & Avocado as a lighter option full of taste, I was not disappointed... The relich and avocado mix was scrummy and I enjoyed every bite of my burger so thank you Spot On! The chips were standard not anything special and slightly salty for my taste. However I would recommend visiting Grab N Go for a quick lunch option, they are also connected to the waffle next door and plan to open in the evening so people can take there food from Grab N Go next door! Also they are happy to accept dogs into there buildings I presume only if there can behave.
