Meeting a friend from Canada who was catching a flight - I had never been to Swarthmore but looked on Trip Advisor. When I pulled into the lot, I was a bit surprised since it seemed rather plain. But once inside, it was a nice surprise. Varied lunch menu with salads and generous sandwiches. I had a green salad with figs, cranberries and chicken which was wonderful. We also shared hummus as an appetizer. My friend had the roast pork sandwich which was enough for two meals. A nice selection of prepared foods (I wish I lived closer so I could pick up dinner) and a huge selection of wines and beers which you donât often find in PA. Will definitely go back even though itâs a bit of a ride.

Had a very nice lunch- tacos and beers - with a business associate. Service very good and staff friendly and accommodating. Tacos were crispy chicken- three on a board. I would order again! Lunch event was spoiled by an overzealous Havertown parking nazi who wrote me a ticket in an unmarked, no meter spot. Thanks Havertown..

Service was bad and food was mediocre.Weâve been meaning to try this local place for a while. So much potential, but so disappointing. We sat at the bar and wanted some bar food and drinks. We waited about 5 minutes before a bartender even made eye contact with us . . . And he did so after offering people who sat down after us drinks. The bar was not crowded, but service was awful. No eye contact from the bar tender. I had to ask for my second drink. The food was just so-so. We had a wedge salad (possibly canned tomatoes????âdefinitely not fresh!), calamari (obviously previously frozen), and a tomato-pesto flatbread. The flatbread was tasteless and probably packaged. We had to ask for our check and just get out. Such a shame. We are so sorry to hear about your negative experience. This certainly does not live up to our expectations of quality food and service. We hope you will give us another try in the future.

Arden was our server and she was very sweet and very attentive. Four of us dined. We started with raw clams and stuffed clams which were very good. Entrees were stuffed surf and turf and baked stuffed shrimp. All was great. Will be back on my next trip back home to Philly.

Tavola Restaurant + Bar offers a one of a kind full service bar and dining experience with an impressive outdoor bar and lounge featuring golf course views, fire pits, palm trees, and a misting system for the hot weather plus heat lamps and glass enclosur
My husband and I celebrated our wedding anniversary at Tavolaâs last night. I had hoped to have a romantic dinner on their beautiful patio, but Mother Nature did not cooperate. They offered to seat us on their covered patio, but there was a live band playing and it was just too loud. The covered patio would be fine for just drinks and appetizers but not for a romantic dinner. We moved into their inside dining room which was nice, but it was also rather loud. The tables are close together and you could hear the band playing (which was nice since it wasnât overwhelming like on the covered patio. Our meal was wonderful. We had the blackened scallops appetizer which was absolute delicious. My husband had the grilled filet mignon, which he enjoyed. I had the shrimp capresse which was fantastic. We ended our meal with their triple chocolate layer cake which was delicious. Our waitress was terrific, very attentive and sweet. My only complaint was with the scallops appetizer, they only gave you 3 scallops for $16.00 â a little high, 4 scallops would have been more reasonable. We had a delightful evening and will be going back again.Thank you for taking the time to tell us about your experience. We hope to see you again.

Some things never change, and some things never should, like the awesome roast beef sandwiches at Nicks. Throw some broccoli rabe on them, a bit of horseradish and yellow hot peppers and heaven in a soft large roll! Make sure to ask for a side of gravy to dip your sandwich. Sooo good.Donât forget the gravy fries drenched in roast beef gravy laden with chunks of roast beef. Delectable! Go out of your way if you have to and visit Nickâs a happy tummy time.

This place has delicious food. Potions are huge. Service, both sitting in and take out, is fast. Omelettes are some of the best around. Pancakes are pretty good too. Highly recommend this place!

sign on the outside, best cheese steaks. ordered one. While the taste is adequate, its not a cheese steak. its is hamburger meat grilled, it crumbles all over, its not thin layers of steaks. So, to me NOT the best cheese steaks.

Taylor Ham and scrambled eggs with hash browns n toast filled me up this Thursday morning after a short flight from Florida. The service was great and side of creamed chip beef fantastic. The chocolate chip pancakes were perfect fillers for the little girls and our table.

Have been going here for decades...I remember when they had 20 steamed shrimp for $3.50 and 35 cent drafts, back in the 70âs...now itâs more expensive, but still good...Iâd like to see them stay open a little later at night...I like to eat late...have never had a bad meal here.
