Diner is near the Rest Stop at exit 115, which is also the exit for the the El Camino REal International Heritage Center. Yahoo has it mapped incorrectly.
I hate dirty places; despise dirty rest-rooms. Donât believe the trailing Las Cruces guys 1st review ... This place has faaaaar above-average clean restrooms, & the overall place would make Mr. Clean a âhappy camperâ. The food is standard roadside/Truck Stop fare ... not surprising as this is a standard Truck Stop. Whatâs better than normal is that the chow is a step-up & the prices are fair ... for both food, convenience store items, & gas ... which is pretty rare these days. Better yet, a safe, secure place day & night. Usually donât rate these kinda places .... but the last review was so unfair/false/bogus - as well as hurtful to the owners/staff who do a good job, are genuinely nice/friendly & take a little pride in their job ... that a contrasting opinion was warranted. See for yourself. I guarantee that you wonât regret it.

This place opened after I left Socorro. So, I was very excited to find one had opened in my home town. I love going to the Owl or Buckhorn, but when I don't want to drive, this is where I go when I am visiting!I always get a single green chile burger. It never disappoints. And in the morning - I am all over the breakfast burritos. Yum.While this looks like an older Blakes - it isn't really that old. But I think they remodeled an older building. So - there is no indoor seating. There is, however, outdoor seating. And - burgers are great in the car!

The menu says that the "49er pizza" comes with prosciutto, but mine came with ham. Ham is NOT prosciutto! They are very different. The pizza was good and I was impressed with it, but I don't appreciate getting something different with what I ordered. They have a good selection of NM and CO beers, so cheers to that..Service was competent but not outstanding. Overall, good spot.

It was a bit of a mixed experience, we ordered Beef Kabob and a spinach salad to share between us. With the beef came a salad, we chose the caesar and it was served first. It was just some leaves with an incredibly salty sauce that didnât taste very nice. We were a bit apprehensive about the rest of the food, but the beef was a pleasant surprise: the meat was tasty and cooked very well. The spinach salad was too big, with too much croutons and cheese on it. The waitress was friendly and attentive.

Started out great. Hostess was very friendly and we were served adult beverages quickly. Ordered their house special burger which comes with complimentary soup, which was a good thing since that was the only food we ate. About half way through our second beer our server inquired about our food. The kitchen had served it as a to go order and it had been sitting in a styrofoam box. Worse yet, they simply took it out of the box and put it on a plate. We refused it and the waitress was very apologetic, however no one offered to make us a fresh burger. We finished our beers, paid our check and left.

Lovely decor such as white tablecloths but total casual dress.I had a bodega burger with the chiliâs on the side (good choice). Incredible burger with angus beef but many other meat choices! I had tHe buttermilk fried onions, another good choice. Service was great - only complaint is I had no room for dessert and so many looked good.
