Discover Restaurants offering the best American food in Silver City, New Mexico, United States. As suggested by its name, Silver City began as a mining town at the height of the prospecting boom in the 1800s and has survived a long Wild West history that hosted such notorious notables as Billy the Kid and "Dangerous Dan" Tucker. Evidence of its even earlier history can be seen at the nearby Gila Cliff Dwellings National Monument, where ancient homes of the Mongollon Pueblo still stand. Hikers, cyclists and outdoors enthusiasts flock to explore the scenery of the Gila National Forest.

We had lunch here because it was the only place we found open on a Monday in downtown Silver City. The sandwiches were simple and served on toast with ruffled potato chips. There were Mexican entrees and a few blue plate specials. Waitresses were friendly. What really made the place was the pie! The day we were in they had pecan (my choice), peach, cherry (my husbandâs choice) and apple. They will warm it and add a generous scoop of vanilla ice cream if you ask. The pie was delicious!

The outside of this restaurant is nothing special, but the hospitality and quality of food inside is fantastic. Make sure you order a plate that comes with a biscuit. Theyâre huge, fluffy and delicious. We were served one day by Lorenza and another by Victoria. Top-notch service! If we lived here, this would be our regular breakfast stop.

Wonderful, quaint and well staffed restaurant. Not just a bakery either. We had a BLT and a Rueben and ice tea. Really good!! The best was the Lemon Bars! And the delightful staff. Especially the owner.....wonderful source of history and stories. Thank you.

A small cafe serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Open everyday from 7-3. Breakfast is served all day on Saturday and Sundays, dinner hours are from 5-8 pm Monday - Saturday
We placed our order for breakfast and waited 40 minutes for pancakes, an omelette, and two fruit plates. The fruit plates were barely there: two strawberries and a half a banana. The best part was this: They are advertised as having "vegan options"--we asked the waitress whether the wheat pancakes were vegan, and she said, "yes, I think, probably, I don't know, let me ask..." She came back with the cook who said "the pancakes are vegan but it depends on how vegan you are...they are made with buttermilk and eggs so if you eat those then they are vegan." Not sure how that logic works out, but ok.

Three of us lunched on a Monday. The turkey standwich had spicy apple sauce that was devine with the turkey, and the sourdough bread was on the white bread side, not great. The special Cuban pork sandwhich (no bread) with coleslaw was really fantastic, rich and wonderful, a meatlovers delight, with pickle. The kale potato soup was flavored just right, very tasty. Raspberry ice tea was very refreshing and wonderful with the salty pork sandwich. Servcie excellent.Hi GayleCheryl,So glad you enjoyed your meal and service at Vicki's. Hope to see you in the future.

Little Toad Creek produces craft beer and spirits... These are available at the tasting room as well as other New Mexico beer, spirits, and wine. A hearty wholesome pub food menu is made fresh from scratch. Enjoy live music on the weekends.
There aren't a lot of choices in Silver City, so this little bar and grill is a viable option. They have a somewhat broader menu than just bar food, but the focus is on the drinks. Lots of draft beers are available. As for food, the flatbread is pretty good. The service is friendly. We ate there twice. The first night there was live music and it was pretty loud. Otherwise it seemed a decent place to grab a burger and a beer.

This place consists of three small storefronts that have been connected: a small bar, a small dining room, and a small bakery/kitchen. The atmosphere is nice, the service friendly, and the beer selection good. There is a decent little wine list, though the good stuff is by the bottle only. Unfortunately, the food is at best so-so. And with an on-site bakery, we expected the bread to be great, but it was nothing special. It's an interesting place for a drink, but I can't recommend eating there.

Farm to table, elevated comfort food.
After spending the morning at the Museum, and visiting the historic hotels, we walked over to Bullard St. to look for lunch. It was hot (Thursday July 18), and we were hungry. The closest place was the corner Little Toad Brewery, and it looked nice, but upon entering we saw that it was packed and very noisy, so politely left. Next in line was "Revel", and as soon as we set foot inside, we knew this was what we were looking for. It was dark, cool, and quiet, although many tables were still occupied at 1:30 pm. We were seated at a table along the wall, and my husband ordered the Pork Belly BLT (coleslaw as a side), and I ordered the Chicken Salad Sandwich (they spell it "sammich) with potato salad. We both ordered the local Little Toad beer, and it was wonderful, as were our sandwiches. Truly delicious. Since we had come in hot and tired, it was difficult to finish our meals, so, the remainder was packed up (sides included), and we took them back to the hotel. We had enough for a light dinner, but that is what we wanted. The atmosphere is nothing special, but very pleasant. Our server was most attentive, and the food was really very delicious. I like all those "salad sandwiches" (tuna salad, egg salad, chicken salad), but, do not order them as often as I would like, because I have been so disappointed in the taste. Here, that chicken salad sandwich was just perfect. Nothing needed to be added, or taken away to make it tastier. We had a lovely lunch here.

We came in after a day of hiking and were starving. Order at the counter. The staff is friendly, the place is clean, the food was great! We had the Thai Noodle Soup, vegetarian version and the one with pulled pork. Very good portion and tasted great. For dessert, the Hunky Monkey Crepe and the Berry Crepe. Clean plates all around.
