Located just off Hwy 20 they have lots of off-street parking. The menu is the same as our previous visit 2 years ago - home cooked comfort food. Note - only open for breakfast and lunch, no longer open for dinner. We stopped in for breakfast with 2 other couples and were quickly shown to a table. The waitress arrived promptly and took drinks orders and was very pleasant and efficient. The meals were not served at the same time, with 2 meals arriving, followed by a 4 to 5 minute gap for 3 more meals, then a lengthy wait for the last meal to arrive. The portions are generous, but mine was not served hot. Most unfortunate, as on 2 previous visits the food was exceptional.
This restaurant is a gem! Itâs food is fantastic, Home made and fresh! It is on the third floor and it actually has roof top seating! We ordered sandwiches and every one in our party was amazed at how delicious everything was. Salads were fresh too, but the sandwiches were out of this world! The meats are tender and moist. One of my guests had a grilled cheese sandwich and couldnât stop raving about it!Great choice if youâre in Shipshewana!Prices are moderate about $5.00 to $6.00 per sandwich
Every time a ride my bike to Shipshwana and if I stop here it is always very busy. Food is typical for Subway - just ok. Service is slow as there always seems to be a line. Might have less wait in mid-afternoon. Ok if your looking for Subway.

We just got to town and wanted a little something to tide us over until the buffet dinner in the evening. The coffee was fine, the staff was adequate, the chili was spicy. The potato soup was poor. This is a local meeting place in prime space and you can interact with some fun folks.

Pizza restaurant with all you can eat buffet.
We stopped here on a Sunday night, because it is one of the only places that was open. The buffet was well-stocked, with a variety of pizza, plus a sandwich option. A salad bar and two soups were also offered. I drew-up a cup of soup, and it was cold. I brought it to the attention of the cashier, and he said "Huh, it (the warmer) wasn't plugged-in!" (Who knows how long it had sat that way?) Another "disappointment" was that all the pizzas were on a thicker crust (I prefer thin, but that's just me). Overall, we had a good meal which was offered at a fair price.

With Amish home-style cooking, the Auction Restaurant is ready to serve any hungry bargain hunter. Located on State Road 5 by the main entrance to the Flea Market, it's a great place to grab a bite to eat or simply take a break with a piece of fresh pie!
This place was recommended for a good breakfast and when we arrived it certainly seemed that the locals liked it. My spouse and I decided we'd split the Western omelet with "biscuit" and hash browns. The omelet was huge so it was easy to split but it was so full of "canned mushrooms", green peppers, onions and diced ham that it just wasn't anything special. The biscuit was a "hotel style" (which I've never heard of) in that it's baked in a large pan and cut in squares. It was so crumbly you had to eat it with a fork and just not my idea of what a biscuit tastes like, more like a yeast roll. My spouse ordered a small Orange juice and it was quite large. I've never seen him leave OJ but he didn't finish it and asked me to taste it. It was orange but it had a medicinal taste. The hash browns were probably cooked earlier as they were soggy and cold. This would not be a place I'd go again for food.

Great little diner. We enjoyed 2 meals here, 1st time was the buffet dinner and then another day breakfast. I preferred the breakfast but I'm more of a breakfast person. However my husband enjoyed the dinner buffet. Will return next time in the area.

When the newly built Blue Gate Restaurant & Bakery opened it doors on August 4th, 2001 in Shipshewana, the entire town was invited over for dinner. As one of Indiana's largest restaurants, the Blue Gate comfortably seats 600 (more than the town's populati
We chose the buffet which includes dessert and only a couple of more dollars than eating off the menu. Food was very good and a nice assortment.
