If you grew up in south western Connecticut the standard for a great hot dog was Rawley's or Tomlinsons. Carolyn put those guys to shame. From an unasuming little, freshly painted camper emerges the best hot dog to ever grace a bun. I reccommend the grilled long dog with spicy mustard, bacon, and the works. You can feel your arteries hardening just looking at it. Bob the Painter

Always fun, our staff person Kait is incredible! Amazing bartender, waitress and always straightening up the bar area. Our orders were delicious, grilled chicken wrap with spinach and the best sweet potato fries, also a bbq chicken pizza was amazing! Great value for the money, and pleasant relaxing atmosphere. Will visit often!

Great Sunday menu for $17.95; includes soup, salad bar, great choice of entrees and dessert! Had the chicken monteleone which was excellent, great mashed potatoes, fresh spinach and two large pieces of chicken breast; other order was the eggplant with ricotta and great sauce and pasta! Dessert choices were apple crisp, carrot cake and brownie ice cream! Our waitress Tayler was terrific, pleasant and efficient!

We were looking for someplace different with outside seating and decided on the Riverview. As others have said, it is similar to The Place in Guilford but much nicer...beautiful views, tree covered seating and real chairs. So unfortunately without rain in the forecast shortly after we arrived and orders the sky darkened and it was clear it was going to rain. The owner, a lovely woman whose name I canât recall and the rest of the staff could not have been nicer trying to accommodate us and kept apologizing for the rain - as if it was their fault.We ended up taking some food to go and ate it at home. It was good - and we canât wait to go back and experience the restaraunt and food as it was meant to be!

Went New Yearâs day morning, waitresses were very perky and cheerful! What a great breakfast menu with lots of specials, I orderd the Monte Cristo French toast and it was terrific and huge, brought half home, partner had pancake special with walnuts and bananas, also huge and delicious. We drink decaf coffee and it is pretty good! We got served quickly also. Check their website because they have daily specials and a frequent diner card for a discount!

Good for fans of BIG sandwiches. Nice dessert selections as well. Try the steak and cheese or the cold cuts of your favor. When you get the works, the vegetables are diced and not sliced. What a great experience inside and out!! This place has been here many years and under different names, but it's this name I will remember. Ample parking for the restaurant size right there on Route 34. There is an indoor eating area, three season patio and outdoor deck on the Housy. The place was neat the staff friendly and hospital throughout our visit. The waiter was very knowledgeable and professional as well. The menu was just right for lunchtime. My steak salad was delicious, the cheeseboard was amazing and diverse, the wine on point and the view splendid. The wife enjoyed her salad and chowder and the experience as well. Would return to check out other meal options. Why not, it's only a stones throw away.

I came here for dinner. I sat at the bar and was given a menu.Looking over their menu, I chose the turkey club special ($11) that came with fries.The order came about 15 minutes later. The sandwich was made big slices of Texas toast and came with a ton of sliced turkey along with bacon and cheese. There was a generous portion of fries as well.The sandwich was very good and I thought it was a very good meal.Kathy did a great job taking care of my orders. Friendly service.

I was finally able to stop by for dinner. I have driven by here many a time, but it was closed.Walking home inside, the dining area is much larger than I had imagined. There are plenty of tables, booths, and counter seats. They have outside tables and chairs as well.I ordered a turkey Reuben sandwich ($5.10).It was ready in about five minutes.The sandwich was very good.Friendly service.

I hosted my daughters bridal shower there yesterday. It was perfect! I've never had such delicious tea and would drive back for that reason alone. The room was beautiful, tastefully decorated.
