Saw a recent episode of Phantom Gourmet and couldn't wait to visit Markey's. The pluses...Easy order system. One area for fried food, chowders and soft drinks. Another for pick your size lobsters and oysters. Next area, steamers and alcoholic drinks. Nice dining area inside and out. I had the steamers. While hot and fast, had an abundance of clams that weren't opened. That's a no go. The ones that were open were tasty. My honey had the fish chowder and the fried clam plate. Chowder was pretty flavorless. He had to add lots of salt and pepper. We love whole fried clams. These clams were very small and almost tasted like clam strips. The fries were golden and crisp and the cole slaw was tasty too. Saw some plates of fried fish that look very nice. Would we go back, probably not but glad we gave it a shot!

I liked MM's so much I mentioned it in an otherwise downbeat poem. I had become fast friends with the Grammatics, owners ofthe now-defunct Ocean Motel 100 feet from Hampton Beach, and I took them out to dinner at this restaurant 3 times. Classicwoodwork, high-backed booths, helpful waitstaff and there's alsoa bar. If you're in the Seabrook/Hampton/Amesbury area make apoint of dining here. If you like to gamble Yankee Greyhound is just down the hill.

they seem to be doing a pretty good business from what I can see. Employees are on the ball and stay busy. They also have pretty good Pizza.

We have been here a number of times over the last few months. It has yet to disappoint. The seafood chowder is delicious, the burgers are great, and the overall vibe is casual and sporty. There's a huge bar, with tons of TVs, some high-top tables and a much quieter dining room, if you prefer. It's in a nondescript strip mall, easy to miss, but don't!

A unique brick building w/tin ceilings set within a neighborhood. Formerly an appliance store, there is a cut out in the wood floors where the lift use to be to bring items up from or down to the basement.
Iâve dined here 4-5 times and every meal has been outstanding. My boyfriend and I always eat at the bar counter so we can enjoy banter with the other patrons and our favorite bartender, Dean. The vibe is cozy, friendly, authentic fine dining with the personal touch of the owners ensuring diners are happy. Favorite dishes include the lobster Mac and cheese, fish tacos and baked haddock, but they are always adding new dishes to keep it interesting. Love Phat Cats!

Their menu is dominated by flatbread choices but they do have a few other options. It's a little bit difficult to find the entrance to the restaurant, you have to walk down an alley first. A "large" easily serves two people or one very hungry person.
