a hip, innovative place to enjoy locally sourced cuisine, hand-crafted specialty cocktails and real Southern hospitality.
I really enjoyed the sweet potato and regular biscuits. The sesame butter, marmalade, and Maple cane sugar wee awesome. The strawberry jam was good. The salad with crispy quinoa was good. The dressing was great. The curry tomato soup was very good as well as the Mac and cheese. The fries and spicy mayo were great.

I was looking forward to visiting Don's after an absence of at least a year. It's just that...it holds nostalgic value for many travelers like myself (and Lafayette residents) but doesn't really measure up in seafood quality. My shrimp gumbo was just muddy water, it would appear, with a few morsels of tiny shrimp. The seafood platter featured small shrimp in a variety of preparations, but with the common ground of....average, at best. It was all bland and tepid. A disappointment. On the bright side, drinks were stiff and service was attentive. I wish Don's delivered on quality to match the semi-steep prices and the expectations of first-rate food.

I absolutely love their chargrilled oysters. Typically always get the Holly Beach Slammer and itâs always great. Was wanting crawfish and got that. I was disappointed. They werenât spicy at all and many of them looked like they had been crushed before being boiled. Will definitely go back but will stay with oysters from now on.

Breakfast at the Scott, LA Coffee Depot on Sat 10/06/2018 around 8:45am was our first visit based on the good Trip Advisor reviews. It was packed. We loved it. Staff was very friendly, food was excellent, and prices very reasonable. Our cost before tip was $23.53; We highly recommend this place and hope to return on our next trip.Parking is challenging, but once a spot opened up, we were met with a friendly smile and immediately seated in the former train depot adorned with memorabilia. They use an annoying train whistle to advise waitresses food ready, We loved it.I had scambled eggs with toast and the best crispy bacon I've probably ever had at a restaurant. Got a carmel expresso coffee that was so good I got another one to go. Wife also had scrambled eggs and bacon with a biscuit that was home made and warm. Coffee and delicious grits also came with her meal. The wife was pleased. We hope we have the chance to eat here again.

We may not take ourselves seriously, but we always take our food seriously. Generic is our mortal enemy.A truly American restaurant always has an opinion. At Zea, we state ours confidently, unapologetically and with a little swagger and laughter. Maybe it'
We like going to Zea for their salads. They have several choices and we have tried them all. They are a large portion and make a whole meal by their self. Add a glass of wine and you're set.The staff are always very friendly and courteous. We adore our salads! Thank you for sharing! We look forward to your next visit.

Servings were smaller, prices higher, waiter ruder, air conditioning way too cold. Liked it on previous trip but would not recommend or return.

While driving to Texas, we saw billboards advertising boudin and specialty meats from Don's. So glad we stopped! Great selection of meats, sauces, desserts! We had a hard time choosing what we wanted to eat. So many great choices. One cannot go wrong with any selection. Would definitely recommend everyone to make time during their travels to stop and indulge! Something for everyone!

This place is in a gas station. However, dont let that deter you from going. First, the place was very clean. As for the food: The pepper jack stuffed boudin balls are fabulous. I highly recommend these. The cracklin were well seasoned, but frankly a disappointment. They seemed like they were under the heating lamp a long time. Had they been fresh, they probably would have been great. The other disappointing thing was the line and time to check out. This took too long for the type of establishment. I bought smoked boudin to take home and it was a hit. We all found it well seasoned and flavorful. Same with the regular frozen boudin. Very pleased with boudin items.

Love the decor and the setup of this restaurant. Great service from the time you enter to the time you leave. Food is spectacular. Great flavor and properly proportioned. My only complaint was that it was noisy. Everyone seemed to be talking so loud as to talk over the table next to them which made the place loud.Thank you for your review! Yes, it can get noisy when we are slammed, such as when we have a pre-concert crowd. It is not typically that loud. Thanks again for your wonderful review of our food, service and decor!Steve S.
