Not that the food isnât good, it is simply not worth the âfixed priceâ dinner menu for $58.I would recommend checking this place out with a trip to the bar and perhaps enjoying a small plate there.

Since moving to Saco, I've been trying out new restaurants and decided to have lunch at the New Moon. I ordered a cup of the French Onion soup and the Thai chicken salad, which is a signature salad of theirs. The salad was great, with a wonderful seasoning and several slices of marinated chicken, and the portion was ample. I was a bit disappointed that thbe French onion soup didn't have the customary broiled cheese on top, which to me is one of the best things about French onion soup. I commented on it and the chef said he includes a side grilled piece of bread with melted cheese instead. Other than that, the food was very good, service was friendly, and prices were reasonable for the portions and food quality and preparation. The breakfast and brunch items look REALLY good, great selection.

A late lunch in a nice little find on Main Street in the heart of Downtown Saco. Small but inviting with booths and tables. Server was quick and friendly. Food was delicious and hot off the griddle for a very reasonable price. Lots if shops nearby to walk off all that deliciousness!

I got their 'famous' inexpensive grilled sirloin with garlic butter and a side dish of mashed potatoes for $6.00. The steak's flavor was good, but it was a tough piece of meat (you get what you pay for). The mashed potatoes looked like instant ones and were served lukewarm. The Guinness was good. The atmosphere is historic brick, big bar, pool tables, lots of dining space, but very little charm. I was also surprised that they don't offer fish and chips, which is a staple of an Irish restaurant. Prices may be cheap, but I'd rather pay more and have quality. Rating: average at best.

We just got home from having dinner with cousins from out of state. We had a super super server Natasha. She made our evening so fun. My cousinâs husband is a jokester and loves to tease the servers. She ate it up and gave it back to peter. The food was extremely fresh and arrived promptly and all was as ordered! Kudos on the seafood pasta and it was served with my favorite pasta - angel hair! The baked haddock was flavorful and flakey. The salmon was fresh and not fishy. The seafood platter looked delicious. This restaurant is a well oiled machine and runs very efficiently. We didnât feel rushed at all. The desserts were a nice ending. Since my spouse live locally, we will definitely be back. Thank you Natasha for a fun evening!

I'm not a great fan of biscuits in general, but the biscuits here are really good! I like the restaurant's atmosphere -- lots of space, nice decor -- but the plastic utensils were surprising. For a brick-and-mortar place that people dine in, there should be regular silverware. Besides seeming tacky, plastic isn't the greatest for cutting meat or buttering biscuits. Otherwise, I thought the food and service were very good and the prices were reasonable for some items, a little high for others.Hi NHjo, We're so glad you enjoyed our food and atmosphere - thanks for the rewiew! You may be interested to know that the reason for our disposable flatware is that we've gone GREEN! After extensive research, we discovered that the most environmentally friendly option for our fast-casual breakfast & lunch environment is compostable serving ware. Everything that goes out to the dining room is compostable, including the flatware, which is corn-based and 100% compostable.Working with a local composting company we're converting 200 lb/week of landfill waste into compost. We conserve over 3200 gallons of water each week, plus the energy it takes to heat all that water. We also keep over 5 gallons of bleach & chemicals out of the water system every week. We believe that every little bit helps, and we're proud of our efforts. We hope you will be, too, and we look forward to seeing you again. Best, Stacy & the Crew

Had another great meal at Run Of The Mill. Love the food & beer list. Dining room was large, rustic and a bit chilly. Loud on the weekends when music is playing. Weather permitting eat out on the deck. French Onion Soup is delish! Also liked the Cuban Sandwich. One of my fav dishes here is "The Drunken Pot Roast."

We traveled to Maine for our first time ever and got lucky that this restaurant was right across the way from our hotel and we couldnât have been happier! Great service and our waiter was even more amazing! I would recommend the lobster claw 100% and if possible request Andrew, his service was stellar and he was an all around genuine person, plus if your traveling around for the first time he has great tips :)

Found Huotâs by accident when visiting Saco. Located right at the mouth of the Saco river on the northern side it is a slightly upmarket sea food shack, nicely , If plainly decorated.Plenty of parking, which is useful as it is popular, particularly with the 65+ group who form a high percentage of the clientele, probably because of the discounted prices for that age group. The menu although fairly standard for this type of restaurant provided plenty of choice and the seafood, which was excellent, is fresh and cooked to order in satisfyingly large portions. Service by a large group of young waitresses is friendly and efficient and prices are surprisingly low.Well worth a visit if in the area.

An institution. This is a classic American diner. Only a counter with about 15 seats. Expect a wait. Food is outstanding. Excellent music. The burgers were great. Same for the fries. Interesting beer selection. Good breakfast items and tasty coffee. Definitely will come back on our way through Maine.
