Our group of eight received excellent service, and everyone enjoyed his or her food. That some dishes were infused with chocolate was a happy novelty surprise enjoyed by everyone. The cocoa-nibs-crusted Great Lakes Whitefish was a hit with most of us, but the beef eaters among us also enjoyed their meals. A custom-ordered, gluten-free four-layer dark chocolate torte dessert was spectacular!

Had the Deluxe pizza for carry out. It was decent. Not the best pizza in the world, but surely not worst either. The staff at the register were personable. I do like that crushed peppers and Parmesan cheese were available free of charge. I also have to give "kudos" Orlando for still offering coupons and nightly specials. For specialty pizzas, Olando's offers the best deals in the area, and remember I'm talking specialty pizzas, not the crap from the chain pizza stores.

We were introduced to Bobbyâs by friends and were so thankful they did! Best local breakfast spot with great food and atmosphere. From the moment you walk in, you feel as though youâre at a friends house for breakfast. The owner and staff walk around saying hi and always recognize you when you come back. The food is great and reasonably priced. Even the customers are all pleasant to each other and feels like youâre visiting with old friends. Would highly recommend this place for a stop and donât forget to try the NY strip with eggs or the pancakes!

When I saw the Caleb Burger on The Vineâs menu, I felt like someone dared me to try basically a peanut butter and jelly hamburger, and I had to order it. With little hope that that would taste good, I dug in. Oh my goodness, it was awesome! I dare you to try it. :-) My meal also came with Applewood smoked bacon. When it arrived, it was just globs of raw fat; I sent it back to be crisped up a bit, at which point it tasted pretty good. The Caleb Burger is normally served on a pretzel roll, which most likely is complementary tastewise. I have to eat gluten-free, however, and The Vine does not have any gluten-free substitute. My companions both enjoyed their meals of the Curried Quinoa Bowl and Honey Mustard Wrap. I will say The Vine has a creative menu. Our service was a little on the inattentive side, but not annoyingly so.

Arrived around 0845. Received coffee and menus immediately. Ordered in four minutes and received our food in 11 minutes. The place was 1/2 full. The waitress was courteous and timely. What amazed me the most was the portion size in conjunction with the price. Of all of the local restaurants in the Round Lake, Grayslake, Lake Villa, and Lindenhurst area, the Iron Horse is the only one that makes 4 egg omelets (most are 3eggs). I'm a big eater and I was full. If you are looking for a place to get the most "bang" for your buck, the Iron Horse Grill is the place and the food was fresh. I will return again one day.

First time to this little old fashioned diner and will probably return. Waitresses seemed to know everyone. Nothing fancy on the menu, just good basic breakfasts and lunches! Small place with about six booths for four and maybe the same amount for two. They also have a long counter where you can watch the food be prepared.

This is a small little place so be prepared to wait. The wait wasn't extremely long and was well worth it! Everything we ordered was cooked exactly as we asked and tasted great. Substitutions were not a problem and the wait staff were all friendly and working hard! Prices were very reasonable for the amount of food you received. If we're up that way again we'll be back!
