Just found this place while traveling along I-90 on a Wednesday evening. Just what youâd expect from a small town cafe ... bear skin on the wall, deer antler chandeliers, and local folks staring at strangers when they come in the door. Ok, so it was obvious this is where locals eat right away. The food made it obvious why. Delicious âlocally sourcedâ meal. I had NY strip steak. It was excellent considering this is not a steak house. Apparently the baked goods are their claim to fame. We happened to come in on âfree pie nightâ ... thatâs right, every Wednesday is free pie night!! I had the best apple pie of my long life. My wife said her coconut cream was better than Cyrus OâLeary pie. Ok - so this is a fantastic review, why did I dock them one star? House flies! Buzzing around the table constantly. Not just one, but several at all times. Final word- our server was as sweet as the pie. Her name is Alexis. She was very attentive and pleasant. Thank you so much for taking the time to review us and the wonderful review. We do our best to locally source and keep everything fresh. Our crew tries very hard to be professional but very polite. So sorry about the flies, haven't had a problem until this week when it got very hot outside, I am at war with them right now, they are winning some battles but I will overcome them. Thank you so much again sincerely Joey
Great tacos for taco Tuesday. I have only gone to Taco Tuesday but I have never been disappointed. The fish tacos are awesome and so are the tamales. You really can't go wrong for $1.00! My only complaint is the service. They are a little slow but that is expected for a small restaurant on a popular day like Taco Tuesday!
The food was good and the service was great. The prices are fair. We enjoyed our dinner here with friends.

Good food- I had the seared salmon salad, artfully arranged and tasty- a good antidote for some unhealthy eating the night before. Service was friendly efficient, and not at all snobby. Nice views and seats in front of the fireplace (a cool July day!) sealed the deal.

The good news is that when the food arrives, it has been creatively prepared. We had a delightful, well spiced soup and bacon and eggs with fresh bread. The soup was not over-salted. The bacon would win a prize. However, the waitress forgot us, even though we were in plain sight, and we did not receive our order, or any other attention from the waitress, for 45 minutes. The cafe had other customers, but it was past the main lunch rush.

Basecamp Books and Bites is a cafe, bar, and outdoor/adventure oriented bookstore. We serve homemade locally sourced foods and have a great selection of beers, wines, and hand crafted cocktails.
I stopped in for a bite to eat while in town. I was greeted warmly by the staff and enjoyed the bright, open atmosphere of this place. The club sandwich I ordered was Great. Made with fresh natural ingredients. This is my "go to place" to eat while in Roslyn.

Yesterday we ate lunch at the Restaurant at Swiftwater Cellars and it could not have been better. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, the view out the doors to the golf course and scenery was relaxing and engaging. There were many beautiful birches and evergreens. The best part was the food. Generous portions, perfect seasoning, a good variety of choices on the menu and we were very pleased. They can make entrees gluten free also - just ask. I had the portobello stuffed mushroom which was to be served on a bun, when I ordered I asked to not get a bun and they said everything else would be gluten free. Best portobello mushroom I have ever eaten and it was large. The clam chowder was also the best clam chowder I have ever eaten. My husband ordered the pork dish and he loved it. He agreed the chowder was the best he had ever eaten also.

We stopped for breakfast on a road trip and were pleased with the Roslyn Cafe. I had the Continental Breakfast which was excellent. My husband had the Biscuits and Gravy which he said was were not the best, but not bad. The atmosphere is cozy and eclectic. Service was a bit slow.
