I have been to this Subway numerous times. The staff is usually very friendly and personable. Service tends to be quick. I usually get a spicy italian and it is good, but I have noticed this Subway skimps on meat compared to other Subways and often runs out of bread well before closing time. I have been to Subways in several locations in several states.

Had an Arby's roast beef sandwich and like all other Arby's. Should have tried their new sandwiches on bread.

My wife and i decided to try out the new location, we had only been to the old location only once in 10 years but thought new location, why not give a try. Our first Impression when we walked in was the dessert display case, it looked like the dessert were just randomly THROWN in there, it just looked horrible, it would not take but a few dollars to put some nice decorations in there and place the desserts around those decorations, Maybe just a cloth of some sort and some artificial greenery. Then we proceed to the hostess stand, and notice that the decor is STILL that of the Fishermans Gallery. Your name is Franklin as in Franklin County and the decor should scream that. Get some Eagles Jerseys, helmets, football photos, maybe some moonshine stuff/pictures etc, but it needs to say something besides that old worn out decor which has failed 3 times now. Maybe some low key music or tv's would help with the drab ambiance. The waitress was nice enough, and did a good job. My wife ordered the Seafood platter with a baked potato and a glass of water, i ordered catfish with fries, we both got the salad bar. I will start with my wife's baked potato, it was around 730pm and this potato had to have sit in a warmer for hours, as it was very dark, i guess they thought we would not notice because of the sour cream on top, i would suggest stagger cooking on the baked potatoes, absolutely no reason to cook them all at one time. People can forgive if you are temporarily out, but that wont a brown one. The seafood on her plate was OK. Now let go to my catfish and fries. Fries were cold, and the catfish was horribly cooked and tasted bad, i only ate less than half of it. Very limp(not hot enough oil ?) Next off to the salad and side bar. It was very poorly maintained, corn was old and tasted bad. But i think the worse art was the french dressing was out but i scooped enough off the bottom of the pan to get started with. There was all kinds of stuff in the bottom of the pan, (cheese, carrots lettuce etc) So they finally brought some out and instead of using a new pan they just dumped it straight into the dirty pan. (i wonder when that cycle will be broken as i am sure the place a top on pan and put out again the next day. And to add insult to injury when i got our bill it said "2 drinks $3.97" Remember my wife got a glass of water. Then i wondered what their menu price for a drink is since you cant divide 3.97 by two and get a full cent. Never again!!!!!!!! I write this review in hopes management will learn better how to operate a restaurant. But they need to pick it alot before i return. On a side note couple on the side of us were discussing that the would have to pay 2.25 extra to get onion, mushrooms and peppers on hamburger steak. Thats just insane.
This restaurant is a little off the beaten path(but only about 1 mile from Rt 40 West). We've eaten here several times and have always been very happy. The staff is very friendly, the restaurant is exceptionally clean and the food is soo good!! Just good old country food,as well as hotdogs, hamburgers and great sandwiches. The grilled pimento cheese sandwich is delicious, but a bit messy...it's worth it to have to use an extra napkin! There's something on the menu for everyone and the homemade lemonade is delicious! It's open Wednesday-Saturday 11am to 8,and Sunday @ 1pm.There is a front porch with some outdoor seating.Reasonable prices.

Stopped in and had 2 hot dogs, wedge of cheese and a soda.Hot dog buns were steamed (very soft) and chili was very pleasant to taste. Cheese was good but small (should have ordered 2 wedges). Was very impressed with the food. Will go back, maybe get an order of beans next time.

My husband and I like diner type restaurants and home cooking in general, so when driving through Rocky Mount, VA and ready for a late lunch, I went to my trusty Trip Advisor for a recommendation. Ruth's got great reviews (and was my mother in laws names) so we decided to stop and try it out. As always, TripAdvisor pointed us in the right direction and did not disappoint. The food was GREAT..and everyone there (including the locals) were friendly to us. I ordered the tuna melt and it was fantastic!! Posting a pic of my husband's dessert - they had one of his favorites (chocolate pie). if you're in the area, don't miss out!

The decor looks like 1970s nothing's been renovated. It's a place where the locals to hang out.The parking is a little difficult since it's on Main Street. The service and staff are always very friendly.I had the hot cakes on this visit they taste like a very dry mix.I hate the little containers of syrup that they give you.The coffee was good not expensive the sausage that I had with my hotcakes were good. It's deceiving from the outside it actually has plenty of table space on the inside.I guess it would be easier to park in the closed gas station next door.
